In the past few decades, movies like Kismat, Diwali Ki Raat, Diwali, Zanjeer, etc have extensively showed the festival in its background theme. There have been many songs solely composed for the festival of Diwali. But the festival as such has not been a part of the story.

But in real life people don’t have time to come and celebrate forget about dancing and singing. Being the biggest festival, along with Navratri, Holi and Gokulashtami; Diwali has not been evolved in the industry.

Here is how Bollywood portrays Diwali:

Diwali Means…Co-ordinated Dances?!?  Phew.. When Have We Done That?

Diwali Means…Gather Your Whole Town Coz We Have To Light Diyas Together!

Diwali Means… When Fire Crackers Burst Lets Break Into A Jig!

Diwali Means… School Kids Singing A Diwali Song.. Well. No Vacations Is It?

Diwali Means…Switch On Your ‘Aashiq’ Mode! Dude.. Its Diwali, Not Valentines
