There is nothing new with the young lot of actors going all out and experimenting in the initial stage of their career; and Shraddha Kapoor seems to join the bandwagon soon. The actress, who has been a part of commercially and critically successful films like Aashiqui 2, Ek Villain, Haider and now ABCD2, says that the films should be judged from the artistic point of view and not on how much collections it makes.
“Earlier, films were judged from the artistic point of view; this is not seen now days. Today people talk only about numbers, how much opening did a particular film make and so on. I saw ‘Margarita With A Straw’… Oh my God! That is cinema, that is art, which is amazing. So I feel like attention should be given to the art aspect of the film and I hope I get a chance to be a part of a film like that,” said Shraddha.
Further explaining on what sort of character driven artistic role she would like to portray, and will she take up a role with grey shade, the actress explains, “I would want to portray a character of a common man and their struggles, if I can play any such character and understand their struggle will be nice, and also may be you will see me in the grey shade that sooner rather than later.”
Shraddha Kapoor is currently taking vocal classes for Rock On 2 and will resume the shoot of Baaghi opposite Tiger Shroff in August.
