Shah Rukh Khan has begun shooting for his upcoming Rahul Dholakia directorial Raees yesterday. The shooting for the film had actually began in Mumbai on April 10.
The director has since then shot a number of scenes of the film and had tweeted saying, “28 set ups with 400+ background actors on day 1 ! What a start ! Thank you all ! #Raees”
And finally, yesterday, SRK started shooting for the film. This is what Shah Rukh tweeted:
First day on Raees. Hot but heartening. And KKR starts its match. Go boys….cheering you from the sets.

Shah Rukh Khan plays a Gujarati don in the film. The film is being made under the banner of Excel Entertainment and Red Chillies Entertainment.
