Movies are all about the chain of action and reaction. The audience goes all whistles and claps the moment the hero beats down the villain and the goons; beating them to death using fighting techniques like Chocke slamming, Armbar, Clinch, Crucifix, Double Leg Takedown, Grappling and other forms of fighting. Almost every Bollywood flick has a little or a high octane action; here are the nominations for best action 2014.
Jai Ho (2014)
A “Salman Khan” movie is simply incomplete without a lot of action. Needed or not, the makers do have the “action” element in his films, and of course one of the scenes where he goes shirtless. Jai Ho was no different, the aggression in his face and those tight wrist fights which just one was enough to get down the goons. Hence, Jai Ho takes a spot in our list of nominations for best action 2014.
Gunday (2014)
Two handsome hunks of Bollywood, Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor donned “Gunday” avatar in Yash Raj Films Gunday. The action sequences in the movie were well choreographed with some hard-core fighting and tough action between the heroes. This action flick makes it to our list of nominations for best action 2014.
Heropanti (2014)
Tiger Shroff set his Bollywood debut with Heropanti; well this one was high on action, but not the typical one. The actor’s flexibility, style of action and his martial art was applauded. Heropanti deserves to be in our list of nominations for best action 2014.
Holiday (2014)
The high intense action thriller Holiday gave us Khiladi Akshay Kumar in a favourite avatar audiences love to see him in, and that is an “action hero”. He played the soldier who was on holiday but on duty trying to track down the sleeper cells. He brought about some chase game action and superbly directed fight scenes.
Kick (2014)
The very first frame that comes to our mind when we talk about the movie ‘Kick’ is the train sequence, where Salman Khan walks off the track with uber cool leaving the cycle. And this became a rage leading to innumerable memes and youngsters uploading the videos performing the stunt. And yes, the action was well choreographed than other typical Salman movies. The movie gave high dose of entertainment with stunts and actions and hence, takes a spot in our list of nominations for best action 2014.
Bang Bang (2014)
This Hollywood inspired Bollywood movie did a commendable job in the action scenes; they were as good as the Hollywood movie Knight and The Day. Hrithik Roshan played his part to perfection. The running scenes, the fights and the biking sequences were well directed. Bang Bang was a bang on with high octane action, and so takes a place in our list of nominations for best action 2014.
Singham Returns (2014)
Talking about action, how can “Rohit Shetty” the director highly known for having out an out action and stunts in his films can be missed. And Last year it was Singham Returns. Cars blowing in the air, the chase, slow camera movement on Ajay Devgn and the gradually intensifying fighting scenes. The movie was high on action and so makes it to our list of nominations for best action 2014.
