Actor Ranbir Kapoor has never been shy of exploring his versatile side and hence the young actor has a few interesting projects lined up for himself consecutively. Reports from a leading daily also suggested that the actor has been roped in to play Shiva in the film based on Amish Tripathi’s bestselling novel Immortals of Meluha.
Shiva became an icon of charisma and machismo after Amish Tripathi’s trilogy based on the Life of Shiva hit the markets. With Chetan Bhagat being the only author to have conquered the literary market garnering flocks of readers in recent time, Tripathi as a writer gave a newer dimension to Indian literary world by gathering an overwhelmingly high number of readers. Making the mythological character of Shiva, a charismatic man of flesh and blood, the Hindu God became a rage among the young readers!
It turns out that producer-director Karan Johar has officially bought the rights of the book from writer Amish Tripathy and has assigned the film to the YJHD director Ayan Mukherji. Ayan, who has always slated Ranbir as his first choice for films, has apparently roped in the Kapoor lad to play the celebrated role of the deity in the film.
However, these might just turn out to be speculations as the actor has not confirmed this in any of his recent interviews!
