Ayushmann Khurrana is back in full form and from the confidence he has it is evident that the actor is all set to wow his audiences yet again. With his kitty full of impressive projects, the actor is soaring high on success. Besides the much coveted three-film deal with Yash Raj Films, the actor is all set to work with Shoojit Sircar yet again.
Khurrana in an interview with Koimoi told us, “After Bewakoofiyaan, I have Dum Lagake Haisha lined up. I play an uneducated guy who is married to a fat, educated girl. The premise is very edgy. They make a very hot couple and I am sure everyone will thoroughly enjoy the film. It is very quirky. After that, I am playing the Maharashtrian scientist’s role in Bambai Fairytale who makes the world’s first aircraft even before the Wright Brothers. It’s based on a real story of Shivkar Talpade. The third one is 1911 with Shoojit Sircar that traces the iconic win of Mohun Bagan Football Club. I will be going to Calcutta soon to shoot for this film.”
With such out-of-the-box choices, does Ayushmann feel perturbed by competition. He chuckles, “I am an actor who sings, there is very little competition for me here in this space. But honestly, I am more of an actor than a singer. I have done more riyaaz for my acting than for my singing. Acting comes more naturally to me than singing. Having said that, I think Ranbir Kapoor cannot be counted as a contemporary. He is a senior definitely. He is already a Superstar.”
Though Ayushmann still has a long way to go before attaining the desired stardom, the actor’s zest to deliver content driven films surely makes him one performer to look out for. His film Bewakoofiyaan starring Sonam Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor is a simple romantic-comedy and he surely is one of the reasons why this films must be sought out for this weekend.
