Shahid Kapoor, who is back to his usual entertaining spree with a mad cap comedy like Phata Poster Nikhla Hero due for release this September, eyes are on him as Shahid’s brilliant comic timing is expected to create fireworks for the PPNH team. Colourful and gleeful, the trailer looks really promising and attractive, and the Dhating Naach fever is surely catching up the eardrums as well. With all of these running in true succession, the Masti and the Machismo of Shahid ‘Kaminey’ Kapoor has been put to a test.
While some are touting Shahid to be the biggest bet of 2013 now, some are usually skeptical with Shahid’s rather unusual diversion into a slapstick comedy. While both his earlier films, Mausam and Teri Meri Kahaani could provide a very little boost to his career, Phata Poster Nikhla Hero seems to be the perfect breaking for Shahid. And with Prabhu Deva’s rustic masala action drama Rambo Rajkumar following up, Shahid’s year might just end with a bang.
Reports suggest that the trailers of this high octane action drama will be attached with Rajkumar Santoshi’s Phata Poster Nikhla Hero that hits the silver screens this 20th of September. That puts PPNH under the scanner as it not only serves as Shahid’s biggest acid test but also levels up the platform for more Shahid-ism as the handsome starlet moves on to his ambitious project taking the angry young man route with mastikhori!
But along with the trailer buzz, what’s doing the rounds is the news of the tentative postponement of Rambo Rajkumar, a decision taken to avoid a perpetual clash with Bullet Raja. The film, which was supposedly due for a November 29 release had to shift some gears as the other Sonakshi starrer Tigmanshu Dhulia flick, Bullett Raja also zeroed in on the same day for a perfect release. Prabhu Deva, along with the film’s producers has decided to move in to the following week, in order to abate an unwanted battle with the Saif Ali Khan starrer. The film, which now is eyeing for a December 6 release precisely, might again have to face a stiff battle for screens with some hugely awaited films taking up the arena.
Madhuri Dixit’s comeback, Gulaab Gang was slated for a December 6 release but the makers decided to alter the release to December 13. Not just Gulaab Gang, the much awaited sequel to Pyaar Ke Side Effects, titled Shaadi Ke Side Effects featuring the new couple in town- Vidya Balan and Farhan Akhtar is also believed to set screens ablaze and would either release on December 6 or December 13. While Rambo Rajkumar would anyway face stiff competition from any of the mentioned films, the Prabhu Deva stamp might just pull this one through all hurdles and obstacles.
Rambo Rajumar which features the fresh pair of Shahid and Sonakshi will now release on December 6 and the first trailer will be attached to Phata Poster Nikhla Hero which hits the screens on September 20th.
