A decade after Ab Tak Chappan, Nana Patekar slips into the skin of Sadhu Agashe with Ab Tak Chappan 2. The actor will be seen tackling the crimes and the criminals in his unique tactics, techniques and strategies. Known to be a sensible person, the veteran actor not only enacts a character, but feels the emotion that every common man goes through.
He feels lucky to have got this medium through which he can let out his true emotions. In an interview with Koimoi, Nana Patekar said, “I have a strong medium called cinema through which I can say a lot of good and positive things politically and socially by portraying on screen. I am very fortunate to have got this medium with me through which I can take out my anger, let out my suffocation, suppression.”
Further extending on what a common man goes through on the occurrence of crimes or reading about the same in news papers and television he adds, “What must be happening with the normal people? They don’t have any outlet. So sometimes if riots break out, a common man though scared passing by the riot broke area will take a small stone and throw it to break the glass. He does this to let out the anger which has accumulated over the period of time. Even after breaking a glass, he still has that fear of has someone seen him doing it, and with the mixed emotion of fear and inner happiness he walks towards his house and then feel safe and satisfied inside his house. And he feels content of having done something.”
Directed by Ejaz Gulab, Ab Tak Chappan 2 is slated to release on 27 February 2015.
