Salman Khan’s film Bajrangi Bhaijaan is all set to hit the theaters next week. What is troubling the actor is, the fake messages that have spread like fire on social networking platform WhatsApp. It appears that there is a morphed image of the film circulating with false text meant to incite communal tension.

The post which has gone viral spreads the message that Salman had changed the film’s original name ‘Khan Bhaijaan‘ to Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Disturbed by these messages, Salman approached the police and submitted a written complaint attaching print outs of the false messages.

Police have started enquiry over the complaint but no FIR has been lodged. FIR will likely be registered under section 153A (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc, and doing acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony).

The film starring Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor is slated to release on 17th July, 2015.
