The National Award winning filmmaker of “Kaaka Muttai” M. Manikandan will now be teaming up with superstar Vijay Sethupathi for a yet-untitled project.
“Vijay really liked the script. He’s excited to team up, but he’s yet to give us dates as he’s busy with multiple projects. If everything goes well, we may start work on this film from December,” Manikandan told IANS.
He said, “It’ll be something very quirky and away from regular cinema. Unlike ‘Kaaka Muttai‘, it’ll deal with a lighter subject with good scope for humor. But it won’t be a full-length comedy.”
The story will be set against the backdrop of Chennai city. The project will be produced by G.N. Anbu Chezhiyan of Gopuram Films.
