In India, wedding are a festival of sorts – full of energy, vigor and fervor. Disney India’s next offering Satra Ko Shaadi revolves around a big fat Indian wedding. Produced by Disney along with John Abraham and Shoojit Sircar, the film’s ensemble cast will involve 50 actors and will be based in Bhopal.
The film is expected to absorb the real tinge of desi weddings with all its pomp and glory along with the egos, the barters, the romances, the arrangement issues and generation gaps. The music, family bonding and emotions will all be portrayed with more realism than cinematic dramatism.
The film will be directed by Arshad Syed and star debutant actors Barun Sobti and Sapna Pabbi in lead roles. Actor John Abraham, who along with Shoojit Sircar made Vicky Donor and Madras Cafe promises an original story here with a deep emotional connect.
The film is looking for 2015 release and is soon to go on floors.
