Rock On Sequel is quite a thing to look out for. The film that launched Farhan Akhtar as an actor has since 2008 attained quite a cult status. Branded as the epitome of bromance-meets-rock film, the film’s beauty was in its tenderness of tackling, the credit of which went to Abhishek Kapoor, the director.
In a recent interview with Purab Kohli who played J.D in the first edition, the actor cleared the air and affirmed that Rock On 2 is in order. The actor said, “Rock On 2 is happening sometime in 2015. The script is sorted and the film will will go on floors then.”
But when asked about whether the film’s sequel too will be directed by Abhishek Kapoor, Kohli carefully preferred not answering it. The fall out between Farhan Akhtar and Abhishek Kapoor isn’t something people or the industry insiders are oblivious to.
Though the two were seen bonding at the success party of Kai Po Che early last year, their professional equation is still hazy so far. Kohli refusing to confirm might add fuel to the already existent confusion, but without Kapoor, the Magik might enchant less!
