Salman Khan, who had a rather dry spell at the box office this year, with none of his films ready for a 2013 release, is definitely going to set the small screen ablaze with humongous TRPS as he glides over the Bigg Boss arena yet another time. At the launch of Bigg Boss 7 in Mumbai yesterday, the actor as usual was quizzed about his usual equation with Shah Rukh Khan and whether he would invite him to promote his film on the BB platform.

In his usual casual avatar, Salman cheekily replied, “I am more than happy to welcome Shah Rukh to promote his films on Bigg Boss and make appearances if he wants to come.” And soon followed the raging question of ‘Are you and Shah Rukh really back on the friendship level forgetting all the competition that you usually had?’ Salman retorted back with a dash of sarcastic grin, “Whatever happened at the iftaar party was totally real. It was the holy month of Ramadaan and not just me, everyone should show such a gesture. If you are passing someday, it is a good thing to shake hands and hug. Agar main yeh nahi karta, then what is the use of Being Human?”

The ultimate emperor of the box office, Salman is known to have squashed away all existing records with his back-to-back superhits and blockbuster movies in line. But recently, with a lifetime count of over 225 crores and still counting, Shah Rukh’s Chennai Express has surpassed all records created by any Salman Khan film. Ask him his take on that and he would candidly smile saying, “Agar marna hi hai kisiko, then ek dusre ko kaam se marenge. Jaise abhi who (SRK) maarke chale gaye kaam se. Yeh nahi hai ki meri picture release nahi hogi. We will also try and beat the records set by his film. Then you also have Aamir coming up with his Dhoom 3. Aur phir ek naya ladka aaya hai Ranbir (Kapoor), who bhi maar raha hai. This kind of competition is good. Beat the other person with your work.”

Known for his grand masala flicks, Salman’s Bigg Boss is famous for its insipid controversies and juicy newsroom stories that float once the show is on air. But has Salman ever thought of doing something path breaking like a Satyameva Jayate? “Right now, its Aamir who is doing the show. If he ever decides to opt out, I will do it without having any issues. Even Amitji is doing KBC now. If he someday feels tired and decides to stop doing the show, I will do it. Mujhe koi farak nahi padta”, was what our Tiger Khan had to say.

Salman, who is making an anticipated comeback with his big Boss venture this September 15 on Colors TV Channel, is also awaiting the release of his next flick, Azaad (tentatively titled) that is scheduled for a January end release. Knowing that the Dabangg actor had no films this year, it would not be a surprise if Azaad gate crashes into the box office with hugely satisfying numbers.
