Movies are one of the basic necessities of our population; Indians are the biggest lovers of cinema and Bollywood is their all time favorite. Even though the craze is phenomenal, but, to get the maximum audience the makers come up with teasers leaving curiosity among the audiences. Here are the nominations for best teaser 2014.
Queen (2014)
Like every ordinary girl, Rani too is really excited about her ‘First wedding’ & even more excited for her ‘First honeymoon’ in Paris & Amsterdam. Since it’s her first time, she doesn’t know what to do on her honeymoon. The teaser takes a vox populi and asks the audience to give some tips to Rani! Starring Kangana Ranaut and Rajkumar Yadav, Vikas Bahl directorial Queen was released on 28th February, 2014.
Holiday (2014)
A.R. Murugadoss’ Holiday (remake of a 2012 Tamil Blockbuster movie Thupakki) starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha was one of the films garnering both critical and commercial success. With their first motion poster, they did create intrigue with giving out the core strength of the film. The poster reveals ‘Captain Viraat Bakshi’ badge, an off duty soldier on duty! The motion poster also shows the set up and a bit of central character of the film with the fine amalgamation of colors descriptive enough to understand the backdrop of the film.
2 States (2014)
Abhishek Varman’s adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s novel 2 States surprised audience with its trailer. And it was Ananya and Krish’s adorable chemistry that spark the best of the usual plot line of cross culture love story. Having paired for the first time, Alia and Arjun’s contrast characters complimented each other which turned out the trailer to be an awaited movie.
Kick (2014)
Sajid Nadiadwala’s directorial debut Kick, starring Salman Khan created buzz with its first poster and with the release of trailer it got intrigue. Remake of a Telugu film of the same name, this one came across as a Sleek, stylish, a power packed action drama with a tinge of masala making the trailer promising and the movie much awaited one of the year. Also starring Jacqueline Fernandez and Randeep Hooda, Kick’s trailer was a quintessential Bollywood action thriller in a complete Salman Khan style.
Bang Bang (2014)
Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif starrer, Siddharth Anand’s Bang Bang came up with an enticing teaser. Daredevil stunts and action sequences which forms the major part of the film along with the sprinklers of glamour shown in a stylized way. And of course shows off the sizzling chemistry between Hrithik and Katrina.
Singham Returns (2014)
Sequel to the 2011 blockbuster ‘Singham’ Singham Returns motion posters looks extremely impressive. Motion posters grabbed enough eyeballs signifying that this sequel is going to be a magnum opus compared to the last one. Incredibly intriguing and have the ‘Singham’ signature tune playing in the background. Ajay’s well chiseled body is a highlight and of course carrying the persona of ‘Bajirao Singham’ directed by Rohit Shetty, the movie stars Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor.
Happy New Year (2014)
Opening with the macro view of Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, Happy New Year’s trailer made it clear that everything about the film is larger than life. Beginning with the interesting tagline, ‘Iss Diwali Todenge Taale Indiawaale’, the trailer is certainly packed with awesomeness. Just few hours before the release of its trailer, the makers launched the motion poster, giving glimpse of the plot and the characters. Directed by Farah Khan, the movie stars a big ensemble cast of Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood, Jackie Shroff and Vivaan Shah, directed by Farah Khan.
PK (2014)
Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer, Rajkumar Hirani directed PK’s performance par excellence was not much of a surprise for many but yes, for few. Right from the first poster everything about PK managed to create a buzz. The interesting teaser shows a stranger in the city asking questions no one has asked before. Known only by his initials, P.K.’s innocent questions and childlike curiosity will take him on a journey of love, laughter and letting-go.
