One of the most prestigious award ceremony of the Bollywood industry – the 61st Britannia Filmfare Awards was held last night at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel stadium, Mumbai.


This came as no surprise when Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani and Shoojit Sircar’s Piku swept away most of the awards for themselves. Ranveer Singh who gained a lot of appreciation as Bajirao, took the Best Actor Award under his name. While Deepika Padukone took away the Best Actress Award for Piku with elan.

Veteran actress Moushumi Chatterjee was glorified with Lifetime Achievement Award for her contribution in Bollywood. A strings of celebrities, including Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika, Sonam Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Rekha and Kriti Sanon, to name a few attended the star-studded ceremony.
