December is a festive month but for Bollywood it is even more special thanks to the big releases. While Christmas slot has been a favorite for Aamir Khan, this time we will see Shah Rukh Khan taking over the holidays. Rohit Shetty’s directorial, Dilwale is all set to hit the theaters on 18th December, 2015. The film will bring back, the much celebrated couple of Kajol and Shah Rukh together on-screen and thus it has gathered enough buzz already.
Interestingly, Dilwale is all set to clash with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama, Bajirao Mastani. Known to be Bhansali’s most ambitious project, the film stars Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles. While a teaser trailer of the film was released a few months back and a brand new song recently, the film has been rather low on it’s promotional momentum. We were expecting a little more excitement from the over exuberant Ranveer Singh who created more buzz with his Befikre casting than Bajirao Mastani.
Diwale on the other hand is on full swing when it comes to hitting the headlines. The film’s lead pair reprising the DDLJ pose and reminiscing their 20 year journey is also a part of promoting Dilwale and probably the smartest one. We recently even saw a making video of the climax and naturally it has boosted the excitement level amongst all the SRK fans. Even though we know very little about the film, every now and then, there have been the ‘on the set’ moments and even Shah Rukh’s little one AbRam made sure to promote Daddy’s film by having fun on the shoot.
Dilwale has already taken the lead and well, it is soon going to be on everyone’s must-watch list since the trailer will be out with with Salman Khan’s big Diwali release Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
Trade analysts are already expecting Dilwale to be a money spinner thanks to it’s cast , so it will be interesting to see if Bajirao Mastani surprises us with it’s content, cinematography and performances, the three things that usually work in favor of Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
