The brand new second trailer of Detective Byomkesh Bakshy was releases yesterday. As the makers are keen on keeping the ‘Villain’ of Detective Byomkesh Bakshy under wraps, we asked at the event, whether the villain is bigger than the hero in the film, to which Sushant Singh answered, “When a filmmaker or a writer writes a script, in the initial stage we don’t think that he is our hero and he needs to do so and so things. It is just because of the sheer circumstances in the film, is why an ordinary guy comes up with something, reacts to the same circumstances in a way that he becomes a hero. And hence, Byomkesh Bakshy is like Byomkesh Bakshy why? Because of the evil genius, the villain that we have got in the film. The bigger the Villain, more complicated the circumstances, the more intellectual, more bigger is the hero (Byomkesh Bakshy).”

Ask him if the audiences will see him doing action or mentally tackling and fighting the Evil genius and he says, “Of course it’s more of an intellectual seduction. Byomkesh is getting seduced by the intelligence of the villain and at the same time with that he encounters and realizes that there is someone (villain) who gives him an intellectual challenge. And so he is fearful of the villain and hence this film. In the process of tackling and fighting the villain, you will see how an immature, but very intelligent boy becomes a mature, seasoned intelligent man as the film progresses.”
