Actress Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan share an extremely warm relation. The latter even considers Dippy to be his lucky charm. As the duo are set to clash with one another this Friday with their respective films, Bajirao Mastani and Dilwale hitting the screens this Friday, Shah Rukh’s recent comment on Deepika’s film seems to have not gone well with her.
At a recent promotional event for Dilwale, Shah Rukh was asked about the clash with Bajiro Mastani and he said, “The other film (Bajirao Mastani) is also made by friends. Our genre is more family and happy-go-lucky kind. Their genre is niche and historical. For both films, audience will come in at different time and watch it. Both are really nice movies.”
Well, after hearing this about her film, Deepika immidiately cleared the air that Bajirao Mastani is not a niche film. She further stated that director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has the knack to present films movies that are globally appealing, like his previous ones, Devdas, Ram Leela and Black.
She further stated that she doesn’t know why Shah Rukh called the film ‘niche’ but both films definitely come from different genres but are meant for audiences across the globe.
