After winning accolades for his first film Mary Kom, director Omung Kumar is all set for his next biopic. The film is based on Sarbjit, an Indian who died in Pakistan after being jailed for several years. Starring Randeep Hooda as the lead protagonist, Sarbjit, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be essaying the role of his sister Dalbir Kaur.
Sarbjit is all set to go on the floors by October this year. The makers announced its release date yesterday, also confirming the star cast. It is slated to release on 20th May, 2016.
This will be Aishwarya’s second film after comeback. She also has Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil with Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma, up for release next year.
