After SRK's 'Happy New Year', Now Salman To Remake Blockbuster Flick 'Happy Days'

As Shah Rukh Khan is gearing for his next production venture Happy New Year, which also stars the actor in the lead role, superstar Salman Khan too seems to be taking his film production a bit seriously. If recent speculations is anything to go by, the 47 year old star has bought off the rights of 2007 Malayalam Blockbuster Film Happy Days.

The actor who will next be seen in brother Sohail Khan’s upcoming film Mental, will be seen in it playing the role of an army officer in next titled Jai Ho!

The remake will be helmed by Puneet Issar. The film retells the story of a group of friends. Happy Days was made in Telugu and Kannada too and had starred Himmatwala starlet Tamannaah in lead role. Khan might also be expected to do cameo role in the film.

Salman Khan is taking his new found role as a producer too seriously. He is also associated with the remake of Subhash Ghai’s Hero that stars Aditya Pancholi’s son Sooraj.
