Riteish Deshmukh is all set for the release of his upcoming film Bangistan. The actor, who recently tasted a huge success with his regional film Lai Bhaari and also his last Bollywood film Ek Villain, seemed very excited for his new project Bangistan too. The film also starring Pulkit Samrat and Jacqueline Fernandez in a cameo is a satire on terrorism.
Well, naturally since there is always a huge hoopla around box office numbers, since Riteish’s last venture Ek Villain made it to the 100 crore club, at a recent interview, he was asked about his expectations from Bangistan.
“When you sign a film, you are aware what range the film can touch. If you do ‘Housefull’ and ‘Grand Masti’ and they collect Rs.100 crore, you can expect the next one to do similar business. But when we do ‘Bangistan’, we’re not expecting the film to touch Rs.100 crore because for this film to be successful, it doesn’t need to reach that figure. Every film has a budget and a certain target audience in mind and the Rs. 100 crore mark is not necessary for every film to be successful,” said the actor.
The film has been directed by Karan Anshuman and is slated to release on 31st July, 2015.
