After a successful crime thriller, the second installment of Ab Tak Chhappan is here. Bringing back the famed Sadhu Agashe played by Nana Patekar, the sequel deals with Sadhu’s comeback into the system as a new assignment requires his skills and experience. The encounter specialist who set a record of 56 encounters in the last film and will go beyond as he is back to hunt down dreaded criminals whose target is Mumbai.
The trailer of the sequel shows that Sadhu Agashe who was once the most feared cops has taken voluntary retirement and is enjoying his getaway from the force but is called upon for a special case which requires his daredevil expertise. Sporting shades and his salt and pepper look, Nana Patekar is back with a bang in this film. He was recently seen in a Marathi film Dr. Prakash Baba Amte which received a lot of positive reviews and now he is all set to woo as as Sadhu again.
He is ruthless and committed to clean up the new mess in this sequel. The trailer promises that there will be enough action in this second part too. The dialogue “Force se bahar gaya tab tak chappan encounter kiye the… Ye ek encounter chappan k barabar hai!” is enough to tell us what we can expect in this power packed film. Other than Nana Patekar, the film also stars Gul Panag and Ashutosh Rana in key roles. Unfortunately, the trailer only focuses on Nana’s character and the plot and we find Gul and Ashutosh in glimpses which is quite disappointing.
This time the film is being directed by Aejaz Gulab who is a well-known stunt and action director and has worked on ample of Bollywood films before. Considering his expertise in the action department, this is his foray and so there are expectations that the film will go a notch higher than its previous film.
