He is not called a perfectionist ainvayi. And if reports are to be believed, Aamir Khan has done the unthinkable. Aamir, has decided to do the total dare-bare act in Rajkumar Hirani’s next P.K., where he is tentatively slated to play an alien who lands on Earth by his choice.
The Actor who has shot an entire scene without an inch of clothing on his body, has done the unimaginable! Unlike all his other contemporaries who have never even dared to trod into such lines, except a young Shah Rukh Khan who dared to bare his naked butt (remember Maya Memsaab?), Aamir Khan has surprised all his other contemporaries by apparently giving a nod to this act.
The director, who insisted on having a body double to do the scene, was shunned by the maverick actor who wanted to perfect it, hence do it on his own. The scene, which forms a basis for the introduction of Aamir’s character in the film, bears a stark resemblance to the one which Arnold Schwarzenegger had in Terminator 2: Judgment Day! The nude scene which was a part of the original script, was retained by the director. But the debate was between the director and the actor, eventually where Aamir decided to take up the baton and live upto the challenge as well.
Much ago when the first look of the film showed Aamir wearing women’s clothes, we were wondering the reason behind it. Now that he is an alien who blatantly apes people’s attires in the film, it comes as a welcome reason to bear with. Aamir who wanted the shot to look absolutely authentic decided to do it himself and according to sources, he had no qualms about it. Neither was he even remotely nervous about it. The scene, which was filmed in presence of a minimal unit sans any cameras and mobile phones, definitely will help Aamir set another trend, after ruling the industry for over 25 years now.
From playing a 22 year old college student to essaying a suave thief in his latest flick, Aamir has done it all. And now that he has gone cloth-less, it will be a new feather on his bowler hat. If he decides to wear it for the shot, that is!
