Biography: Zeishan Quadri (age 31), formally known as Syed Zeeshan Quadri, is an Indian writer, actor, director and producer. He is the scriptwriter and co-writer of the screenplay for the Bollywood crime super-hit films Gangs of Wasseypur 1 and Gangs of Wasseypur 2, directed by Anurag Kashyap. Quadri, who grew up in Wasseypur moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in acting and films in 2009. He wrote the scripts for Firauti, his own film Meeruthiya Gangsters and Madhur Bhandarkar’s Madamji. In addition to the role of ‘Definite’ in Gangs of Wasseypur 2, Quadri has also acted in the crime Bollywood film Revolver Rani directed by Sai Kabir. He will soon be seen in upcoming film Akki, Vikki te Nikki and John Abraham Entertainment’s Banana. Quadri has a production house called friday to friday entertainers and media pvt ltd. Zeishan Quadri will be soon releasing his directorial debut Meeruthiya Gangsters, which will be produced by him as well. He was the associate producer for the film Prague (2013). Zeishan Quadri, who believes in making different cinema says the audiences take home the characters, story and dialogues. According to him, it is the content that matters.
