Biography: Atul Kulkarni, the Indian actor was born on the 10th of September in the year 1965 at Belgaum in Karnataka, India. He pursued his secondary education from the Haribhai Deokaran High School located in Solapur, Maharashtra. Later on he did his 12th standard studies from Belgaum and soon after, he started doing electrical engineering from the prestigious College of Engineering, Pune (full form for COEP). After getting into an engineering college, he developed a dislike for engineering and soon enough he quit his college and he came back to the city of Solapur and there he enrolled himself in the prestigious D. A. V. College. He did his graduation in the field of English Literature.
Atul Kulkarni first tried out his part on stage during his school days and later on during his college days he was actively involved in any cultural event which was organized in his college. While studying, he had enrolled himself in an amateur theatre group by the name of Natya Aradhana situated at Solapur. He gained a lot of experience through this theatre group and later on he started working backstage before getting an opportunity to appear on stage as an actor. Soon enough he wanted to take upacting as his primary career option.
In the year 1992, he joined the renowned National School of Drama (NSD), New Delhi and he had received a postgraduate diploma in the field of dramatic arts from this institution. One of his top notch performances was in the Ravi Jadhav directed Marathi blockbuster flick titled ‘Natarang’. Here Atul Kulkarni played the character role of a poor village labourer by the name of Guna Kagalkar. His very first Kannada movie was ‘Bhoomi Geetha’ in the year 1997.
