This film is a copy of a Tamil film, “Vaaranam Aayiram” released a few years ago.
The character played by SRK loses his first love (K Kaif) in a tragic accident – a terrorist attack and is mourning her seriously when he meets the A Sharma character. He finally learns to put the past behind him and once again finds love and happiness in the character played by A Sharma. There might be elements from Graham Greene’s “End of the Affair” mixed in.
What are the odds that Yash Chopra will acknowledge that this film is a copy of another Indian film ? What about patent rights and royalties ?
