But when one would hear a porn star making foray onto the silver screen with a powerful film, one would have been apprehensive about accepting an adult star within the shades of their own favourite B-towners. But Sunny, who has made nationwide recognition with her first film, is mighty pleased with the audience’s reaction to her. “You won’t believe but when my film had released and the audiences loved it, I had goosebumps. I am just so thankful to this country and the people here because that has happened to me and is happening to me here, I could have never even comprehended that when I thought of doing films here. All I know is that the feeling to get accepted by your people is so amazing. It is unbelievable how much love this country can give and of course accept people for who they are. I am really happy that I have been able to change people’s perceptions here with people gradually accepting me for who they think I am. The way they loved me and embraced me with open arms definitely shows that the public here is very open-minded.”

The only point was since the trailer release, of her debut film, it was marketed highly on its erotic content and Sunny’s presence left audience expecting more sleaze and less content. Though Jism 2 did decent business considering its content, Sunny somewhere could have been stereotyped. But the firang babe has different things to share. “I am not sure how to answer that because I don’t know the industry well enough to figure out how and what might happen. Films come and they happen. If I like something, I would do it. If people feel they are different in proportion, they might like it. If they feel I am doing a similar kind of film, I don’t know what I could do about it. I try to do everything with equal passion and I hope the audience gets to see that as well. I have been a porn star all my life and can’t shy away from that fact. So if that is the reason why people think am stereotyped in my next movies, I am all for it because that’s who I am.”

Reportedly, the actress is unhappy with the way she has been sidelined to favour Priyanka Chopra and Sunny Leone, both of whom have much-publicised item numbers in the film.

When asked, Gupta got upset. “I also read this morning.. You all are the media and you all have a very, very strong weapon in your hand, which could be a source, insider, friend, somebody from there… the person is never named.”

“So, it’s very convenient to cook up a story and then say, insider tells us the story, source tells us this. Name the source,” he added.

Adult star, Sunny Leone has been denied the permission to perform at a Dubai Night Club after her performance was scraped by the Department of Tourism and Comerce Marketing. Her show was canned last minute. Sunny, who was to perform a cage dance at a nightclub named Wild and Sunny in Dubai with DJ Hani, DJ Shadow and DJ Asef, was unexpectedly asked to refrain from it.

According to the organiser Javed Shafi of Premiere Production House, all those who had purchased tickets to see Leone were refunded and the entry was made free for the night as opposed to the Dh100 tickets at the door. However, the audience had enjoyed the night with DJ Shadow, Hani and Bollywood dancers.

Following this confusion and humiliation, Sunny Leone is expected to get back to work with her Shootout At Wadala team AT Ibn Battuta Mall along with John Abraham, Tusshar kapoor and Anil Kapoor. Javed Shafi is still strong headedly holding on to his plan of clubbing together Bollywood stars for events in Dubai, however following this nasty mess there is a huge doubt if Sunny will ever get to perform in Dubai.

Premiere Production House CEO Javed Shafi said in his official statement, “I respect the decision of DTCM but It’s very disappointing for us that sunny didn’t get a chance to perform in Nightclub due to rejection from tourism department”

Sunny Leone, who is popular name in the porn world, shot to fame in India after joining the reality show Big Boss and then getting noticed by Mahesh Bhatt who opened up the gates of Bollywood for her by giving her the elad role in Jism 2 which became her debut film.

Sunny became a sensation when she decided to step into the ‘Bigg Boss’ house two seasons back and was approached by Mahesh Bhatt on national television to star in the sequel to the highly successful Jism franchise. With almost a staggering 33+ crore business at the box office, Sunny did manage to pull the film through, despite lack luster performances and wasted actors. Jism 2 failed to race up the momentum, courtesy a mindless plot that had no metal in it to be ironed! But, nevertheless, Sunny Leone did establish herself as a powerful and an infamously famous brand bagging Balaji’s Ragini MMS 2 right in her kitty. With Sunny’s look being leaked, Ragini MMS 2 is certainly setting the barometric level on a high as along with the Jism wala skin show, Sunny also gears up to portray a horrific tale with aplomb.

Call it her liaison with the Balaji scion Ekta Kapoor, she landed up doing a cameo in Balaji’s upcoming gangster biopic Shootout at Wadala. After the raunchy and peppy Babli Badmaash Hai number that rocked the nation but failed to match up to the standards set by the other popular item songs, Ekta decided to put in her trump card with Sunny Leone’s anticipated debut on screen as an item girl as Laila.

The ‘O Laila’ track sung by Mika Singh is groovy and encored with beats but what kills the ambience of the film is the outlandish choreography reducing the otherwise nice track to ashes. And Sunny Leone’s item number? God, give me a break! O Laila is definitely an item number, but not a Sunny Leone item number rather a John Abraham-Tushar Kapoor item number. In this highly risqué and raunchy number, it is the guys who walk away with all the cake, doing all the
naach gaana as Sunny, the wonder woman gyrates with a little jhatkas and matkas here and there.

Deliberately publicized as Sunny’s item number just to grab eyeballs, as the results eventually turned out to be, O Laila is miles away from being in the list of the high octane item numbers that other actresses have grooved to. Wearing skimpy clothes and showing skin doesn’t really make for a good dancing number, right? Sad story for Sunny and her O Laila team!

With Katrina’s brilliant belly dancing in Mashallah, and awesome moves and shakes with Sheila and Chikni Chameli in tow, Kareena’s natkhat spunk in Fevicol Se and Malaika’s uber glam quotient and sexy moves making way to the charts, O Laila is definitely a failed attempt by Ms. Leone, without a doubt. Needless to say, this over hyped song cum item number might just sink, more like the disastrous debut performance by the porn star in her maiden film.

With Ragini MMS 2 slated for a Diwali release, it would be nice to see Sunny working the magic maverick on screen, putting an end to her bland expressions and stereotyped reactions! Time for some sunny mornings, ehh Sunny?

Leone, who was present at the music launch of Shootout At Wadala, said, “Never in a million years did I think of being here and have a chance to make something like this. Shooutout At Wadala has two other item songs featuring Priyanka Chopra in Babli badmash and Sophie Chowdry in Ala re Manya. The film will release May 1.

Reports also suggest that she has already started working on her song which is apparently being choreographed by Ahmed Khan. Sanjay Gupta conceived the idea of this item number and Sunny was his immediate choice. She will be seen in a traditional ghagra and choli dancing with a team comprising of 50 odd men. Choreographer Ahmed Khan is rather impressed by his diligent student Sunny and exclaims that the item number will be an interesting one.

Actress Sunny Leone is “emotionally and mentally disturbed” after Kamaal R. Khan (KRK) claimed that she had made the controversial statement – “Rape is not a crime, it’s just a surprise”. The actress has now filed an FIR against KRK.

“Sunny is emotionally and mentally very disturbed with the false allegations levied by Kamaal Khan against her, and the cheap and demeaning jokes that he is continuously posting on his twitter account in her name, thereby outraging her modesty openly on a public platform,” Rizwan Siddiquee, lawyer of the actress, told IANS.

“Resultantly, she has been crying inconsolably and is not in a proper frame of mind to even talk to the media with regard to such built-up controversies surrounding her.”

He added: “As the acts committed by Kamaal Khan are largely cognizable, to protect her legitimate rights and interest we have filed an FIR under Sections 500, 504, 509 of the Indian Penal Code together with Section 66 A of the Information Technology Act 2000.

“The said FIR was registered with the Versova police station on Feb 12. The police will accordingly investigate the matter at the earliest and proceed accordingly.”

Following KRK’s comments, Sunny had filed a complaint with the Cyber Crime Investigation Cell of the Mumbai Police Feb 4.

However, the small-time actor continued tweeting against the actress, forcing her to file an FIR against him. It could lead to Kamaal’s arrest.

Khan on a previous occasion had written Sunny’s views on Rape as not to be a crime but ‘surprise sex’. To which Sunny clarified to a leading daily that she had never made this statement at all. No woman in this entire world would. Leone further added that Khan wrote it on Twitter and tagged her on it and not that he ‘retweeted’ her comment.

“I believe rapists need psychological help. They need to be institutionalised,” said Sunny in a statement.

She went on to add that the comment was made by some ‘silly idiot’ and she didn’t want to encourage Khan by responding to such things, but it’s a sensitive issue, especially after what happened in Delhi. Sunny feels that questions should be turned to him. If he thinks the comment was ok, his ethics should be questioned.

Sunny said, “The world that I come from may or may not be accepted here, but I am someone’s wife and daughter. I don’t care what people think about me. Call me every name in the book, but don’t associate me with a criminal act.”

She reminisced about a film offer with Kamal R Khan which she was unable to do owing to her prior commitments and believes that her name is unnecessary being dragged owing to the sore liaison. And she has her web team managing her twitter handle to block retweets of Khan’s comments by other people.

But KRK has also backlashed tweeting, “I shall file case against Sunny Leone at Versova police station at 2pm today (6 Feb).”

Here’s awaiting more dosage of the brewing drama between the Leone clan and Khan’s aides.

Dholakia, whose previous work includes 3Nights 4Days and Marega Salaa, told IANS: “Sunny is busy with her other commitments right now. As soon as she finishes shooting for her other films, she will have to undergo special training for action for my film.”

He further added: “There is a special stunt scene in the film. I can’t reveal much about the film right now, but Sunny is so dedicated to her work, I am sure she can pull off the role well.”

“We will start shooting for the film by April-end. The film will be shot in various locations but the major portion will be shot in India,” he said.

If reports are to believed than adult star Sunny Leone, who has started shooting for her second Hindi film Ragini MMS 2, is playing a Bollywood actress in the film.

The Indo-Canadian porn star, who started her stint in Indian showbiz with her appearance on the controversial reality show Bigg Boss 5, debuted as an actress on the big screen with Pooja Bhatt directed erotic thriller Jism 2.

Ragini MMS2, a horror thriller, is her second film.

A source close to the team told IANS, “Sunny is playing the role of a Bollywood actress in the film. She is playing herself in the film. She started the shooting seven days back with all newcomers.”

Directed by Bhushan Patel and produced by Ekta Kapoor, Ragini MMS 2 is said to be continuation of 2011 movie Ragini MMS, which was based on real life story of a Delhi girl whose MMS was circulated. The makers are taking ahead the story from where they had left it.
