A leading daily informed that  Shahid recently shot for a scene with Salman Khan for PPNH. Though the scene will not have Ileana, the entire cast and crew of the film are thrilled to have Salman working with them. The film’s shooting is almost wrapping up with a month’s more work left to complete. Aiming for a summer release, the Shahid film will release after a long gap of his 2012 film Teri Meri Kahaani with rumored ex-flame Priyanka Chopra.

Actor Shahid Kapoor sustained a major injury while shooting for Prabhudeva’s Rambo Rajkumar.

The actor, who was in Kamalistan Studio, was filming a very major part of the film. It had an action scene where he was to enter a burning house. However, after wrapping up the scene, he was stepping out of the burning house, when some hot chemical solution dripped on to his back and arms.

A source on the sets of the film confirmed, “The fire is created artificially through a chemical solution… The solution fell on his back and forearms. The solution was hot and it immediately burnt holes in Shahid’s t-shirt. He half sprinted while removing his t-shirt.”

The actor had to take a trip to the dermatologist to ensure the wounds heal quickly. But Shahid sportingly tweeted yesterday: Sched wrap for RAMBO RAJKUMAR …… Back to PPNH (Phata Poster Nikla Hero) now for its last schedule will wrap the film by mid may.

With not an hint of incurring sympathy, Shahid Kapoor bore through his pain with dignity without making a big deal out of it.

Actor Shahid Kapoor is basking in the sun to don a tanned look for his upcoming movie Rambo Rajkumar.

Even though he has always appeared previously in his adorable chocolate boy looks in movies like Ishq Vishk, Vivah and Kismat Konnection, it was his chiseled body and rugged look for Vishal Bharadwaj’s in 2009 movie Kaminey that showed us an entirely different view of Shahid Kapoor.

Bollywood celebrities Ranbir Kapoor, Ajay Devgn, Hrithik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor will get a whole new look by celebrity hair-stylist Aalim Hakim in a new TV show, dedicated to hair-styling trends.

“Style Inc. with Aalim Hakim”, to be aired on TLC starting March 8, promises to bring the glamorous styling trends of some of the country’s best-looking film stars.

Apart from celebrities, each episode will also see one lucky person get a makeover by Hakim, whose regular clientele includes Sanjay Dutt and Bipasha Basu.

“I am excited to be part of ‘Style Inc. with Aalim Hakim’. It is an extension of what I love to do – makeover personalities. The series captures how the art of hairstyling not only can create the picture-perfect look for Bollywood stars, but also on transforming ordinary people,” said Hakim, the host of the show.

The channel is hoping to draw a young audience, especially the fashion conscious ones, with the show.

“Makeover is an emerging trend in India that has been identified by us and we are delighted to present an exciting new series with Aalim Hakim,” said Rahul Johri, senior vice president and general manager – South Asia, Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific.

Less than a a week remains for Shahid Kapoor to turn a year older and there is no sign yet of any celebrations in the offering. Is this a visible sign of a much mellowed actor in the B-town?

“Last year there was this massive drive around making everyone aware about how he was going to celebrate a three day long birthday party in Goa,” an observer remembers, “Right from bikini girls strutting around him to Nargis Fakhri being his ‘special guest’ to Priyanka Chopra not being invited to some of the key personalities from Mumbai making it to the event, there was a lot being said and written about Shahid’s birthday for days in advance as he turned 31. However this time around there is no noise whatsoever.”

Shahid’s birthday is on 25th February and by the look of things, the celebrations wouldn’t be as much publicised, if not equally expansive, as last year.

“His focus is on films and that’s what matters the most. If you closely see his progress during last few months, he has been away from the limelight for long now,” says a source, “He can make noise if he wants but as of now he is entirely concentrating on ensuring that his films are well made and turn out to be commercial successes as well.”

Though his last couple of films (Teri Meri Kahaani, Mausam) cound’t really rise to the occasion, fortunately for Shahid, no one pointed a finger on his performance. Now for Rajkumar Santoshi’s Phata Poster Nikla Hero with Tips and Prabhu Deva’s Rambo Rajkumar with Eros/Viki Rajani, he is furthermore making sure that the end product is as entertaining and audience friendly as it gets.

“Which means extended parties can wait,” adds another source, “His work is what brought him till point and that is what would define his years to come as well.”

About time that we heard the birthday plans from the horse’s month. Though it would be interesting to see if the chief guest (yet again) stays on to be Nargis Fakhri or there would be a surprise in store.

“Yes, it is all set to happen as Kareena’s Gori Tere Pyar Mein has now been pitched opposite Shahid’s Rambo Rajkumar on 15th November. This is too much of a coincidence”, says a source.

Yet again it was the Shahid starrer which had the date set for itself before Kareena’s film came into picture.

“With Karan Johar making his intentions clear about bringing Gori Tere Pyar Mein on this day, it would be interesting to see whether Eros budges from it’s plans for Rambo Rajkumar“, an insider adds, “All said and done, all of these are major films and can do much better if these clashes can be averted much in advance.”

While Shahid and Kareena continue to be mum about the plans that their producers seem to be building for their films, makers are going forward with their plans which kick-start almost simultaneously.

“Prabhu Deva’s Rambo Rajkumar goes on floors in last week of February while Punit Malhotra’s Gori Tere Pyaar Mein kick-starts it’s shoot on 1st March. It is going to be a race to the finish”, the insider adds.

We are watching for sure as the fireworks get ready to explode.

After starting her Bollywood career on a high note with Barfi!, actress Ileana D’Cruz is glad with the way her next Hindi film Phata Poster Nikla Hero is shaping up.

“I am doing ‘Phata Poster Nikla Hero‘ with Shahid (Kapoor) and it is coming out really well. It is looking really promising and I hope you guys really enjoy it,” the 25-year-old said here Sunday night at the 58th Filmfare awards.

She says the team is half-way through the movie’s shooting.

Ileana is all praise for her co-actor Shahid and director Rajkumar Santoshi. “(It has been) Really good. I think he (Shahid) is a fabulous actor. The role he is playing is fantastic. Raj-jee (Rajkumar Santoshi) is fabulous to work with,” Ileana said.

Phata Poster Nikla Hero also stars Padmini Kolhapure and is a romantic comedy. It is slated to release Aug 23.

“He trains five times a week for an hour. There are three strength training sessions, followed by two days of functional or metabolic conditioning. He also goes for a 7-10 km walk or jog every week,” trainer Abbas Ali said in a statement.

“Shahid can’t do without a dose of his daily workouts. Even when he is busy shooting or travelling, the young star makes sure to make room for his workouts,” he added.

When Shahid flaunted his sculpted body in Kaminey, his female fans swooned over him.

The Jab We Met star will soon be seen in Rajkumar Santoshi’s Phata Poster Nikla Hero along with Ileana D’Cruz and is looking forward to working in Prabhudheva’s Rambo Rajkumar opposite Sonakshi Sinha.

Actress Sonakshi Sinha says viewers should look forward to a lot of dance in Namak, given Prabhu Deva and Shahid Kapoor’s association with it.

“We are starting Namak in February. I’m looking forward to it and of course since we have Prabhu Deva and Shahid in the film, there is going to be a lot of dance in the film,” said Sonakshi.

“I am completely happy because I love dancing and it will be completely masala film. I don’t think you can expect anything less from Prabhu Deva,” she added.

Sonakshi has had a brush with Prabhu Deva’s style of working in Rowdy Rathore, which did well at the box office. Sonakshi also did an item number with the actor-choreographer-filmmaker in OMG Oh My God!.

Ask if she is learning any new dance form for Namak, she said, “Not new kind of dance, but once we start shooting I am sure Prabhu will make up something new and make us do that.”

Anushka Sharma, who is all set to play the vivacious ‘Bijlee’ in Vishal Bhardwaj’s upcoming Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola, has always been the director’s fan. Even before she was taken aboard on the film, she was all praises for Bhardwaj’s past works like Kaminey and Omkara.

After watching Kaminey for the first time, Anushka Sharma was so impressed by the film that she told Shahid Kapoor that director Vishal Bhardwaj should be fed with a lot of special vitamins so that he can live longer and keep making movies for hundred years.

Anushka had also watched Omkara before she was into films and had simply loved it too. Later when Shahid introduced Anushka to Vishal Bhardwaj for the first time he also told him about the wonderful suggestion that Anushka Sharma had made. Vishal just laughed at the idea but Anushka was embarrassed that a director of Vishal’s level heard just childish banter.
