Sana became famous when Salman Khan discovered her on the sets of television reality show Big Boss’ 6th Season. Being Salman’s subsequent release after Dabangg 2, the film is expected to be one of the year’s most momentous films.

The film’s crew kept mum on the issue refusing to divulge any information, even director Sohail Khan remained unavailable for comments. A leading daily reported that Mental’s next shoot is in Lavasa early next week and more confirmed news on this report will come then.

Watch or Not?: Though I swear by romantic comedies, Ishkq In Paris did not leave a fulfilling impact on me. Despite crisp editing, it is the loose plot, not so compelling story and mostly the unconvincing chemistry which are the film’s primary drawbacks. Unless you are Priety Zinta fan, you can easily give this one a miss!

Ishkq In Paris Review: Script Analysis

Romantic comedies are perhaps the most difficult films to make contrary to popular belief. Romance, being cinema’s most overrated genre, has had many film makers cashing in by framing the story right. However, this film lacks the rich texture of many of your favorite rom-coms.

The story telling is luckily simple but the story itself has no passion and hence it cannot keep its audiences adhered. The attitudes of its characters being very dicey, the film frequently shifts tints. How an independent and ‘live in the present’ woman turn commitment phobic over one flimsy backstory and how a free spirited Akash suddenly falls for Ishkq remains unclear. Even if I stop digging for clues to follow the track, the set up itself is blandly done which kills the film’s romanticism. I could not single out the reason why Ishkq is so weary of love and nothing in the film could prove it strongly enough. Bollywood romances flow from the legacy of Yash Chopra and now with such films in the market, it is a culture shock to realize what such film makers are making of Bollywood.

Undoubtedly Priety Zinta still ranks as Bollywood’s most vivacious actress. She is back with her cute dimples, unseen on screen zing and zestful screen presence. It has always been a treat watching her!

Rhehan Maliek is too visibly inspired by SRK, it seems. His acting resembling too much with the superstar’s, the man doesn’t realize that a few caricatures are reserved for King Khan alone. Mostly confident, this man remains stationary throughout the film in terms of emoting!

Together the two put up the most implausible chemistry on screen. Going by Zinta’s enthusiasm, it takes Maliek a lot to look bad with her. But with caliber, the man manages to seem sapless well enough!

Salman Khan, who makes a special appearance in a song, makes for the most whistle- worthy scenes in the film! Khan’s stature is enough to concretize the skeletal work of any film.

Ishkq In Paris Review: Direction, Music and Editing

Prem Raj chose an inadequate script. With a lot of impending work left on it, it seems they pasted on celluloid one of the story’s first drafts. Prem Raj’s style of work however is easy going and well spaced out. Without complicating the story, his minimalistic airs tries its best to save the film! Paris looks exquisite in every possible scene. Craftily handled, the camerawork and cinematography both departments have done a sufficiently decent job. The music is not very memorable but it doesn’t interfere with the story and hence it stands bearable!

Ishkq In Paris that begins as a believable tale of modern day love culminates into shaky misguided climax. Priety Zinta who is back on silver screen does a pleasing job but her film fails to match up to her bygone colossal stature. Unable to find anything heartwarming in the film, I am settling for 2 on 5 for this one. With a couple of commendable elements like smoothness of its narrative, the movie does not work for most part because of its constant attempt at being melodramatic and the lack of an effortless script! Priety fans can gear up for it, the rest can re-watch Hum Tum.

Grapevine suggested that while SRK was shooting in North Goa for Chennai Express, Salman was in South Goa filming Mental. Refraining from crossing paths deliberately, both the production houses were informed about the presence of the other party.

Reportedly, Salman has wrapped up his sequence and is back in Mumbai again but SRK has continued to work on wrapping up the final sequences of Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express.

It was an obvious co-incidence that the two were around each other and did not behave rashly despite being adequately informed, yet may be it is finally their way of acting professional and matured in dealing with their animosity!

The actor while shooting in Rajasthan for Hum Saath Saath Hai 14 years ago hunted a blackbuck which is one of India’s dwindling species today. However, the actor will no longer be required to make special appearances at the Jodhpur Court, where the case currently in proceeding.

After the lower court rejected the revision petition, the government had moved the high court 2006, saying it wanted to make changes in the chargesheet filed against Salman for possession of arms. The same case had booked Salman for illegal possession of arms in 2006.

The other offenders in the same case were actors Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Tabu and Neelam. They have all been co-charged with killing two blackbucks on the night of 1st October, 1998.

One must have grabbed onto news headlines, alongside their daily cup of morning tea or coffee, with Salman Khan’s return to the silver screen being an area of discussion ever since his next now-untitled-previously-titled Mental film was announced!

When reports of Mental releasing on October 2, with all the festive dates being priorly booked by his contemporaries, the team came out in public to discard the piece of news, tagging it as an imagination. But then as our Dabangg hero started shooting for the film in March, eye balls were hooked to the papers for its tentative release date.

Another certain n November 22 release date created a lot of brouhaha before Sohail Khan jumped into foray and clarified that he is not contemplating a release this November, but is trying to work it out for a 2013 release anyway. While all this was busy making tabloids sell in huge counts, another news that shook the entertainment world today is the new change in the film’s title.

Rumour mills reported that Salman, is not happy with the title Mental and is not even keen to have it as the film’s official title. And when Bhaijaan has committed once, ab toh who kisi ki bhi nahi sunega! That leaves Sohail and his entire crew chewing their grey cells up to bring out another gripping title, which suits the film’s ambience as well as Salman’s machismo with pure conviction.

Adding on to this, a source squashed aside reports of the film being titled Mental saying that the film was never meant to be titled Mental. It was jut a working title, which some one who got a whiff of, used to the Media. The media has started calling the film so ever since then.

Sohail and Salman who are searching for a new creative title for their film is still unsure about the exact release date of the film. Whether there would be no Salmania around this year is a question that everyone’s having on their minds! But the million dollar question now is, if its not called Mental, what would be Salman’s film titled?

Salman Khan’s NGO Being Human has joined hand with the noble philanthropic deed of reaching water to the areas bearing the turmoil of water shortage.

There is a lack of healthy drinking water in Maharashtra’ s drought stricken Marathwada region. Taking up the responsibility of supplying 2500 water tankers to Aurangabad that is suffering under the pathos of one of its worst droughts ever, Being Human is playing the perfect savior for the people of the town.

Though Salman hates to flaunt his philanthropic gestures stayed put from commenting on the matter, but the help is going to be crucial for several families in Aurangabad who are seething under the rage of summer and lack of proper water facilities.

Being Human is expected to reach out the town’s needs by the end of this month. Raking up the supply of 750 tankers in Beed, 500 in Jalna and Osmanabad and 250 to Nanded and Aurangabad, this step will go a step forward to resolve the water shortages issues of the area.

Being Human sent an official email to the Divisional Commisioner of Aurangabad offering this help. The initiative will also provide great respite to the local officials who find it impossible to tackle the grave water shortage issues at the hilt of summer.

A leading daily informed that  Shahid recently shot for a scene with Salman Khan for PPNH. Though the scene will not have Ileana, the entire cast and crew of the film are thrilled to have Salman working with them. The scene between Shahid and Salman was shot at a suburban studio where the two worked together for almost 6 hours.

The details of the scene were deliberately not let out as Santoshi wants the Salman segment of the film to be a surprise package for the audiences. It was meticulously kept under wraps. Salman, whose warm nature is popular in Bollywood, stayed back after the conclusion of his shoot and caught up with friend Rajkumar Santoshi. He also spent a considerable amount of time bonding with Shahid Kapoor.

The film’s shooting is almost wrapping up with a month’s more work left to complete. Aiming for a summer release, the Shahid film will release after a long gap of his 2012 film Teri Meri Kahaani with rumored ex-flame Priyanka Chopra.

Dabangg Khan aka Salman Khan has always been the Godfather of Bollywood. Be it Sonakshi Sinha, Sneha Ullal, Zarine Khan, Angela Jonsson or Katrina Kaif, Salman has mentored many actresses in Hindi Film Industry. And now, Mr. Khan is all set to help Katrina’s sister Isabelle with her debut film.

However, this time it is not a Bollywood film but a Canadian film named ‘Dr. Cabbie’, where Salman, reportedly, will be co-producing the film.

The movie is estimated to be a $25 million project and will be distributed in India by Eros International.

Dr.Cabbie, also stars Vinay Virmani (last seen in David), Kunal Nayyar (The Big Bang Theory fame). The movie is co-produced by Salman Khan Being Human (SKBH) Productions, in association with two Canadian companies – Caramel Film and First Take Entertainment.

Salman is known to be the ultimate godfather in Bollywood. And why not? He has been a guiding light to many aspiring actors till date. 

“Freedom at last. Hope they give him to his family. We all tried, guess not hard enough. May god give his family strength and his soul rests in peace,” Salman posted on Twitter.

Last year, Salman had urged his fans and the public to join an online petition that he planned to give to the Pakistan government in a bid to free Sarabjit.

When someone as handsome as superstar Salman Khan, popularly known as Sallu Bhai, is referred to as the same by women too, it doesn’t go down with him comfortably. At an event organized by his NGO Being Human, the actor reportedly said that he doesn’t appreciate the fairer folk referring to him as bhai. Salman chuckled and said that he has four sisters and they are enough for him and is a little flabbergasted when girls call ‘Bhai’.

Agreeing with co-actor and friend Aamir Khan, who recently at a press conference told the media how he believes power is best only when its used right, Salman’s NGO Being Human collaborated with Fortis Foundation’s Little Hearts campaign to seek solutions for the care of children born with congenital heart diseases.

Salman known for his straight forward and transparent remarks shunned the idea that intent is necessary for charity, but even if people are doing it to flaunt off their wealth it’s fine as long it is larger good of the masses.

“Everybody does charity, but not everybody likes to talk about it. Some may do it for personal benefits, to stay in the limelight or others might do it genuinely. According to me, you may do charity for any reason, but do it anyways. No matter what the intention is,” Salman told reporters here.

Under the programme, 42 children have already been treated and eight are currently hospitalised in Fortis.

Despite persistent work of being NGO, Salman modestly and sadly emphasized that his efforts don’t even make up for a drop worth of an ocean of issues to be taken care of.

Salman who himself is silently battling suicide disease is known for his compassionate love for medical issues and has a merchandise story of his NGO in the Fortis hospital as well.

The film which might perform well in the multiplexes, is more directed at the single screen audiences who might prefer this film more compared to the weekend’s other release Bombay Talkies.

Similar hype was created before the release of Jab Tak Hai Jaan. With the demise of Yash Chopra, the interest on his last directorial venture was sky rocketingly high. The team decided to cash in by using the hype correctly. A week before the film’s release, the advance bookings had begun in all the single screen theaters. Even the Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif starrer Ek Tha Tiger was met with a similar fate.

Shootout at Wadala is attempting to recreate the same vein of publicity for the film by attacking the single screens mainly. The predecessor of the same – Jab Tak Hai Jaan has to its credit more than 50% booked of its four shows in Bangalore. The advance bookings is important for SAW, as it has already risen the expectation of it by raising the bar of their hype!

The film’s prequel Shootout at Lokhandwala was a surprise hit despite bad reviews from most critics and it can be predicted that this John Abraham starrer will rightfully claim the domain of single screens in the most thriving circuits in the next few weeks to come!

Actor-turned-director cleared airs about the release date of his film Mental starring Salman Khan. Rubbishing reports that the film is releasing on Nov 22, Khan informed that he has no such plans.

Sohail just said that, “That I am releasing the film on Nov 22 is news to me also. Now people are deciding for me when I’ll release my film without my knowledge. The way the shooting is going on, I might make it by the end of the year, Inshallah. But I haven’t locked in on a date yet.”

Interestingly, sources close to the film say Salman and Sohail aim to release Mental in the middle of December, weeks ahead of Dhoom 3. And why so?

Reveals the source, “Salman wants Mental to make it by December. But he won’t let it clash with ‘Dhoom 3′. It stars two people who are very precious to him – Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif.”

Southern actress Daisy Shah will be seen playing the female lead in the movie, which also stars Sana Khan, Vatsal Seth, Ashmit Patel and Mukul Dev.
