A leading daily informed that  Shahid recently shot for a scene with Salman Khan for PPNH. Though the scene will not have Ileana, the entire cast and crew of the film are thrilled to have Salman working with them. The scene between Shahid and Salman was shot at a suburban studio where the two worked together for almost 6 hours.

The details of the scene were deliberately not let out as Santoshi wants the Salman segment of the film to be a surprise package for the audiences. It was meticulously kept under wraps. Salman, whose warm nature is popular in Bollywood, stayed back after the conclusion of his shoot and caught up with friend Rajkumar Santoshi. He also spent a considerable amount of time bonding with Shahid Kapoor.

The film’s shooting is almost wrapping up with a month’s more work left to complete. Aiming for a summer release, the Shahid film will release after a long gap of his 2012 film Teri Meri Kahaani with rumored ex-flame Priyanka Chopra.

“I am doing ‘Phata Poster Nikla Hero‘ with Shahid (Kapoor) and it is coming out really well. It is looking really promising and I hope you guys really enjoy it,” the 25-year-old said here Sunday night at the 58th Filmfare awards.

She says the team is half-way through the movie’s shooting.

Ileana is all praise for her co-actor Shahid and director Rajkumar Santoshi. “(It has been) Really good. I think he (Shahid) is a fabulous actor. The role he is playing is fantastic. Raj-jee (Rajkumar Santoshi) is fabulous to work with,” Ileana said.

Phata Poster Nikla Hero also stars Padmini Kolhapure and is a romantic comedy. It is slated to release Aug 23.

Off late, he was also in news for refusing a film with Kunal Kohli for date issues.

With Vicky Donor setting a huge standard for small budget films, raking in the most money and grossing in the most applauses from all over the world, it was inevitable for Yami Gautam to sign up more and more films, which she just did. Shoojit Sircar’s muse of sorts, Yami is all slated to play the lead in his next, titled Humara Bajaj opposite Ayushmann (again!). Not just that, she has also been roped in to play lead heroine opposite Ali Zafar in E.Niwas’s Aman Ki Ashaa.

A heavyweight down south, the Goan beauty scorched the Hindi film arena with an astounding supporting performance in Anurag Basu’s magnum opus Barfi! earlier this year. Accepted widely by the audience and applauded by critics for her lovely portrayal of Shruti in the film, Ileana D’Cruz tasted overnight success and signed up Rajkumar Santoshi’s Phata Poster Nikla Hero opposite the dashing Shahid Kapoor even before Barfi hit the screens and created the thunderstorm all around. With the shoots for her new film already making noise, it is not surprising that the beautiful diva has been bombarded with numerous film offers already. How she picks and chooses her next move is all that we need to see!

Work is in full swing towards the pre-production of Kick. While Salman Khan would be beginning to shoot for it after he is through with his brother Sohail Khan’s film, producer Sajid Nadiadwala, who is also turning director with the film, is gearing up to get going as well. Since the film has some massive action sequences planned, there are elaborate preparations being put into place so that the actual shooting goes on smoothly.

Meanwhile hunt is also on for the leading lady. Though there has been a name or two been thrown around so far, an official confirmation is still awaited. One waits to see though that how does the character sketch of the female protagonist look like.

In the original Kick, the leading lady (Ileana D’Cruz) was there but didn’t quite participate in the action sequences. Since it was a Ravi Teja show all the way, it would be interesting to see if the girl has something substantial to do in the action department, especially with Salman Khan leading the show now.

“Yes, the leading lady would be integral to the film. You can’t have a film work just in isolation; everyone needs to have something substantial to offer, including the supporting actors. Sajid understands that and is ensuring that Kick is an all around affair,” informs a source.

Given the fact that an announcement around the leading lady is yet to be made by Sajid, one waits to see if there is someone athletic chosen for the part or the girl for be an ultra-glam woman who ends up igniting some heat on screen.

After beating Bol Bachchan, Barfi! is on the way to beat yet another 100 Crore grosser at the domestic box office. Housefull 2 is the next movie in the line for Barfi! and from what we can see it is a sure shot win for the latter.

The Ranbir Kapoor starrer made an approx 6.75 Crores in its 4th weekend at the domestic box office. Barfi! now stands at a domestic box office total of 111  Crores. Having made another 28 Crores at the overseas box office, Barfi!‘s worldwide box office as of now is 139 Crores.

The film is getting repeat audiences, which means it will be in theaters for another 2 weeks and it then sure to achieve a litetime collection of 120 Crores plus.  Ranbir is sure the new box office bet in town!

From starting at the box office on a somewhat somber note to joining the elite 100 Crore club, Barfi! has proven to be nothing less than a super-hit Bollywood flick.

The movie made about 18.20 Crores in its 3rd week at the domestic box office. Barfi! now stands at a domestic box office collection of about 104.75 Crores. Having made another 26.5 Crores at the overseas box office. the Ranbir Kapoor starrer’s worldwide box office collections now counts as 131.25 Crores.

The movie has surpassed the box office collection of Bol Bachchan. Starring Ajay Devgan and Abhishek Bachchan, Bol Bachchan was a typical ‘masala’ Bollywood flick. It’s happily surprising to note a movie with good content taking over the typical Bollywood Rom-Coms. Needless to say Ranbir has established his brand nothing less than the likes of Ajay Devgan. Let’s hope this is the starting of Ranbir ruling the 100 Crore club.

With the release of English Vinglish and Kismet (Kismat) Love Paisa Dilli, Barfi! might lose out on a considerable amount of screen space which might affect the box office journey of the Oscar nominated flick in its 4th week. However, Barfi! has more than just proven a point with 3 successful weeks at the box office.

If you take a look at the chart underneath, 6 movies made it to the 100 Crore club this year. With big starrer movies lined up for release this year the number might as well go up to 10. It seems the 100 Crore club is no longer a big thing in Bollywood. The next focus will perhaps be on the 200 Crore target.

Other biggies lined up for release are Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year, Shah Rukh Khan’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Ajay Devgn’s Son Of Sardaar, Aamir Khan’s Talaash, Akshay Kumar’s Khiladi 786 and Salman Khan’s Dabangg 2.

Barfi! made 2.40 Crores on its 3rd Monday at the domestic box office. Moving on to Tuesday which incidentally was a national holiday on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, the movie showed a huge jump, making approx 4 Crores.

The Ranbir Kapoor starrer has finally achieved what many thought was only possible for typical Bollywood ‘Masala’ Flicks. It seems good content is still appreciated in Bollywood. Yes, you guessed it right, Barfi! now joins the elite 100 Crores club. Though it was sure to do so in due course of time, this achievement has been pretty quick for a genre movie like Barfi!

Anurag Basu is sure to celebrate his movie’s 101.50 Crores at the domestic box office. Add another 26.50 Crores from the overseas box office collections and you will know that Barfi! stands at a mammoth worldwide box office collection of 128 Crores.

Ranbir Kapoor has proven himself both as an actor and a box office asset with his performance in Barfi! Also, this is Priyanka Chopra’s 2nd 100 Crore film this year after Agneepath which had grossed 123 Crores plus at the domestic box office.

After making 1.75 Crores on its 3rd Friday, Barfi! made 3.20 Crores on it’s 3rd Saturday at the domestic box office. The movie now stands at a domestic box office total of  91.5 Crores. The movie has indeed experienced a miraculous journey at the box office.

Thanks to another 25.50 Crores at the overseas box office, Barfi! now stands at a worldwide box office total of 117 Crores. The Ranbir Kapoor starrer is sure to touch the magic figure of a 100 Crores in a week or so. Barfi! not only establishes Ranbir as an actor but also as a box office asset.

Whether it was worth the Oscar nomination or not is another question, but the movie sure is ruling hearts and making some good money at the box office.

Barfi! made an approx 2.25 Crores on it’s 2nd Wednesday at the box office. The movie had made 17 Crore 2nd weekend which was nothing less than phenomenal. If we look at the 2nd week as a whole Barfi has scored about 28 Crores.

The movie now stands at a majestic box office total of 86.55 Crores. Also worth mention is the huge success that the movie has made overseas. Making 25.5 Crores at the overseas box office the movie not holds 112 Crores as the total worldwide box office collections.

Whether it will touch the 100 Crore magic number at the domestic box office or not pretty much depends on the success of OMG Oh My God! and Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal. Considering that Heroine could have no averse effect on the film, it is quite possible that  Barfi! might sail through another week too.

Barfi! made an approx 2.5 Crores on it’s 2nd Wednesday at the domestic box office. The movie had made 3.20 Crores on Monday and 3 Crores on Tuesday which brings up its domestic box office total to 84.3 Crores.

Overseas box office collections of 19.5 Crores take the worldwide box office total to 103.8 Crores. Being the first movie of Ranbir Kapoor to cross the 100 Crore barrier this is sure something for him to cheer about.

The best part about Barfi is it is still being loved by the multiplex audiences and is unperturbed by Heroine, T20 World Cup or any other hindrance. Oscar nomination sure has it’s own perks.

Considering the movie is doing so well, it might even cross the 100 Crores barrier at domestic box office if luckily it manages to keep its pace after the two releases OMG Oh My God! and Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal.

The overseas collections are expected to see a good amount too. Barfi! indeed is going to be a life changer for Ranbir Kapoor.

Barfi! continues to perform well in it’s 2nd week. The movie made 3.20 Crores on it’s 2nd Monday and about 3.00 Crores on Tuesday. Barfi! now stands at a domestic box office collection of 81.8 Crores.

The film has also done somewhat well at the overseas box office where it has amassed 19.50 Crores as of now. If we look at the worldwide box office collections of Barfi!, the Ranbir Kapoor starrer now stands at 101.3 Crores.

This is the first Ranbir starrer to join the elite 100 Crore Club. Good content, positive reviews, oscar nomination, everything seems to have worked well with the film.

As of now the highest grossing movie by Ranbir Kapoor was Rajneeti, but Barfi! is all set to rewrite history. Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D’Cruz also do have a reason to celebrate as this is nothing less than huge.

After doing wonders in the 2nd weekend, Barfi! witnessed a steady fall on it’s 2nd Monday making 2.80 Crores as per early estimates. The film now stands at a total domestic box office collection of 78.40 Crores. Barfi! has also made another 19 Crores plus at the overseas box office which brings up its worldwide box office total to 97.4 Crores.

The movie will touch the 100 Crore number on the worldwide box office this very week which is just great for a multiplex film. Oscar nomination seems to have added wings to the film and many multiplexes even increased the number of shows after the announcement.

However, with the release of OMG Oh My God! and Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal this week Barfi! is sure to lose a lot of screen space.

After making 3.70 Crores on it’s 2nd Friday Barfi! saw a further boost when it made another 5.70 Crores on its 2nd Saturday. The movie’s domestic box office total as of now is 68.10 Crores.

Barfi! has also made another 15 Crores at the overseas box office which brings up its worldwide box office total to about 83.10 Crores.

It is quite amazing that UTV’s release last week Heroine seems to have had no negative impact on the box office journey of Barfi! And now after the declaration that Barfi! is the Official Entry to the Academy Awards 2013 from India, the collections are only expected to see a further boost. It is quite possible that the boost due to this news will apply to both domestic and overseas box office.

The film is a remarkable example of how good content is still rewarded in Bollywood. The audiences are loving it; the movie is making good money at the box office and what’s more it is now nominated for the Oscars. Ranbir Kapoor and the entire cast and crew of Barfi couldn’t have asked for more.

There is no doubt that about the fact that Barfi! is in for a pretty good 2nd weekend box office collections.
