“That’s not true at all. Shah Rukh is the most encouraging person I have worked with. He is extremely proud of me and my achievements and he would never do something like that,” she said here.

The makers of Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone-starrer Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani have chalked out a plan for the promotion and global tour of the movie but reportedly, it’s being said that Shah Rukh has asked her to stay back and complete their film.

Deepika, who was present at an event held for the launch of People magazine, minced no word in praising Shah Rukh.

Unable to trust the stone’s quality, a leading tabloid reported that Imran requested for a custom made ring. He wanted to wear an authentic silver blue Feroza ring and only the fake ones were readily available. Hence the team specially ordered for the customized ring. Imran seems to be following on his Mamu Aamir Khan’s path to perfection, keeping in mind every nitty gritty detail of his chaarcter, trying to make it flawless.

The frenzy for the upcoming release in in full form and it is expected to give Chennai Express a staunch fight. The film is expected to release on 8th August and stars Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha along with Imran Khan in lead roles.

And now with a 2-0 lead over the actor, Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express, which has already been one of the most euphoric movies of the year, with Shah Rukh in the lead in yet another romantic flick, one would be expecting firecrackers from the director yet again. Battle lines are drawn and the trumpets are blowing in full throttle as our Khiladi Kumar with Balaji scion, Ekta Kapoor in tow is expecting an earth shattering opening with a sequel to a film that had changed the Bollywood-gangster flick scenario way back in the 2010s. Though the SRK-Akshay combat is grabbing headlines much due to the heavyweight names, it is the Rohit Shetty v/s Akshay Kumar age old encounter that is all set to go on a mammoth ravage!

With Diwali being sidelined and Eid being the D-Day for yet another Rohit Shetty-Akshay Kumar collision, let’s just wait and watch how the scorecard settles, post the festive season. Film theatres in important towns of Pakistan earn heavily due to Indian releases. Film makers of the local films insisted that this should be done to ease out situations for them, which a Shah Rukh Khan or an Akshay Kumar starrer will majorly jeopardize.

Analysts confirm that this move will result in an approximate loss of Rs 20 crore for the films. Both UTV and Balaji tried their luck at nailing down sense and stop the blackout, but the film makers refused to budge from their point. It is essential to safeguard the interests and needs of the Pakistani Film Fraternity. The option that was left open to UTV and Balaji was to schedule the films for a later release, on 15th August but the option would not help generate revenue because pirated prints of the film will already be doing rounds by then.

The decision is a loss-loss one for the screen owners and distributors who would earn more from SRK-Akshay releases than from local ones but the Government decisions on such issues are too strict to be challenged.

The film’s music that is under reconstruction now, was initially louder and rugged which apparently did not go down well with Shah Rukh Khan. Composed by the energetic duo of Vishal-Shekhar, the initial soundtrack had a couple of hitches for SRK. Shah Rukh Khan has been excessively particular about every detail of his film, and generously works to perfect them until satisfied. However, the news was not officially confirmed by Vishal Dadlani, though the fleeting news was revealed from reliable sources.

The film’s shooting is currently on in the outskirts of Munnar in Kerala. Chennai Express, which is fun filled romantic comedy, is on a tightrope to wrap up its shooting and announce the official release date of the film by the IPL Finale next month. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the film stars Shah Rukh Khan along with Deepika Padukone in the lead roles.

Khiladi Kumar, who has wowed the audience with his comical stints and high octane action dramas in the past half-a-decade, is now moving on to an out and out action flick, a sequel that has caught the audience’s attention since its launch.

His upcoming next, Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again has him in the role of a gangster, he claims, “In OUATIM 2, I play a gangster and Imran works for me. I play Shoaib and Imran is Aslam and we both love Sonakshi. The rest is for you to see it because there is lots of drama in it and this is only what I can reveal now.”

Touted as the continuation from the point where Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai ended, Akshay clears the air about the film once and for all. “Yes, this film is the continuation from the prequel and farak sirf yeh hai ki yaha chehre badle hai. Kahaani wohi se shurur hoti hai jaha khatam hui thi,” Akshay clarified!

Going by his earlier films, Akshay has been sporting his somewhat ‘lucky’ moustache in most of his films, be it Rowdy Rathore or Special 26. So has his moustache become his new lucky charm?

“Mujhe pata nahi iska jawab kya du. I am really happy that people have actually loved me with the moustache and all my films have been working well. But categorizing the films on the basis of that has never come to me. So I don’t take it that way,” laughed out Akshay.

Akshay, who was the only action superstar that India had in the ‘90s, suddenly took off the comical flight to do some mad cap slapstick comic capers in the last decade. Be it the Hera Pheri series or the Housefull sagas, Akshay had it rolling, the hilarious way!

But when Akshay had to choose between Action and Comedy, he quickly retorted back, “I enjoy all the genres. I love acting. I love comedy, I love drama, I love romance and I love doing negative roles also. So I just enjoy doing everything, so there is no preference for me. Earlier, maybe some two-three years back, I used to enjoy comedy. But now, I have changed my point of view and I love doing all kinds of films.”

Such is the occasion that Akshay’s platter is totally filled with movies at the moment. “I have Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again and then I have Boss and I also have a film which is not named yet directed by Murgadoss,” Akshay pinned up his busy schedule right in front of the Media!

Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai boasted of powerful musical melodies, will the sequel match up to that trend as well? “We have finalized two songs as of now. And one of them is totally a Sufi number, like the one which was there in the prequel. But most of the songs are yet to be made and composed, so it would be difficult to judge it right now. There are a little bit of some scenes left and the music is unfinished. Otherwise the film is almost complete”.

A source close to the actor informed a leading daily about the same. The set of the film was at an altitude and SRK was advised against riding a bike to the set for its risky rocky road. Incidentally men had to carry him up in a doli (palanquin) till the sets. The crew was also planning to set up a camp somewhere around the area. However, located in the dense forests of Munnar, camping in the area was just as unsafe.

The film is scheduled to be wrapped up soon as it is slotted for a August 8th, Eid release this year, where it is clashing with Balaji’s Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again.

She may or may not be saying that but deep down her heart, Deepika Padukone would well be knowing that in months to come she would have at least a couple more 100 crore films to her name before the year comes to an end. While Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani should be the first in line, a film which is the hottest contender for this fate is Chennai Express where she has the advantage of not just being the solo heroine but also be paired opposite none other than Shah Rukh Khan.

So can audience expect a ‘dhamaal’ non-stop fun entertainer here?

“You can say so,” says Deepika, “It’s great to be with Shah Rukh again. He had always said that whenever he and I had to come together again, it had to be much more special than our first film since there is always that kind of expectation when a hit pairing comes together. Om Shanti Om did very well for both of us and now to be back in a fun outing like Chennai Express is going to be special indeed.”

More so since she is also stepping into the mad world created by Rohit Shetty which is a genre in its own right.

“It is great to be working with Rohit since he knows exactly what he is doing. Everything that he does, it is with a lot of style. There is a definite scale in every shot that he takes. This is one film where I have completely surrendered myself to the director. Same is the case with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram Leela as well.”

Adding more on her directors, Deepika says, “Now Rohit and Sanjay are people who know their craft inside out. They are not strict in the conventional sense. In fact they do take suggestions as well. However if they stray a little, they bring them back on track. They know how to manage their actors and that’s a good thing; you have to take it all in a positive spirit.”

King Khan – Shah Rukh, who is all set to star in Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express, told IANS in an interview on the sidelines of the maiden edition of the Times Of India Film Awards (TOIFA) in Vancouver that he would continue doing films like Chennai Express in future as the star is liking it.

SRK is happy that he signed the film as he believes it is a comedy, action and entertainment-packed project “different” from the intense and serious films he has done in the recent past.

Says SRK, “Rohit has done me great favour while making a film like this for me. It’s fun and I am enjoying it. Yes, I end up doing very intense films like Jab Tak Hai Jaan , Chak De! India and My Name Is Khan, and so, Chennai Express is a nice change for me.”

Shah Rukh also hopes to do more such films in the near future. He further adds, “I am enjoying it this way. May be I would continue doing films like ‘Chennai Express’ in future.”

The film, produced by the actor’s wife Gauri Khan under their production banner Red Chillies Entertainment, features Deepika Padukone opposite King Khan.

When asked about his future projects SRK said, “We are making ‘Chennai Express’ and then there is another film called ‘A for Apple, B for Billi, C for Cutta’ (ABC). Two others are in the pipeline, but I would like to keep it a secret till the right time. People are just talking about work so much earlier than it is initiated. I don’t like it anymore. I like to talk about things when the film is ready, and only then would I like to take an opinion about what is good and what is bad.”

While the first look posters of the film had become a rage instantly, the trailer rather the sneak peek is expected to have an earth shattering opening. It seems Shah Rukh Khan, whose Kolkata Knight Riders were champions last year and hence has the grand finale this year accredited to his favourite home ground Eden Gardens, has the master plan up his sleeve.

Buzz has it that SRK has decided to unveil the first 2 minute sneak peek of Chennai Express during the Grand Finale of IPL-6 scheduled to be staged at the Eden Gardens on May 26.

Lets just wait and bite our nails till we stay witness to the trailer along with the grand finale of IPL 6 this year. Will it be The End or just The Beginning? Gotcha!

Starring Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan, Chennai Express will hit the silver screen this Eid. The movie has been directed by Rohit Shetty.

Dips has been practising every day after her pack-up. She agreed to perform only recently, as her schedule is choc-a-bloc. Having said that, she is looking forward to performing at the IPL opening ceremony. Her performance is being choreographed by Geeta Kapoor.

Says a source close to Deepika, “She is currently shooting in Wai for ‘Chennai Express’ and takes out two hours every day to practise, after her pack-up.”

The opening ceremony will take place April 2 at the 100,000-seat Salt Lake Stadium and a full crowd is expected. Several other A-list actors will be shaking a leg at the opening including Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. Also coming is international rapper Pitbull.

Deepika had performed at the IPL inaugural in 2010 also.

There is a delightful little fairy tale brewing in the tinsel town. Ranveer Singh who recently sustained an injury during his shooting in Kolkata drove from Mumbai to Wai in order to discreetly meet his supposedly lady love actress Deepika Padukone.

The alleged affair of the two have been doing rounds in the media for quite sometime now, with the duo often been caught cozying with each other at places.

Ranveer Singh who was busy shooting for YRF’s Gunday with director Ali Abbas Zafar and co-star Arjun Kapoor flew down to Mumbai for some urgent work. Sources inform us that while performing a wrestling scene during the shoot of Gunday, Ranveer was severely hurt and incurred three stitches as well. Despite being insurmountable pain, he was visibly in a rush to be in Mumbai and left Kolkata.

Deepika Padukone is currently shooting in Wai for her next film Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express with Shah Rukh Khan. After reaching Wai, Ranveer was seen limping around. He decided to stay in the hotel and not visit Deepika on the sets of her film. Ranveer was staying in the same hotel as Deepika and waited patiently for her to return from her shoot to catch up.

Ranveer flew back to Kolkata on 25^th of March to resume shooting on his upcoming film Gunday.

In a world of stardust and glitz and the overtly hyped starry tantrums, the late 2000s brought in a new face, a new reason for Bollywood to cheer: the groovy ‘Item Numbers’. A legion that had incepted by the Helens and the Zeenat Amans has now taken a grander, a more glamorous avatar with every tinsel town A-lister trodding the item arena.

With the Munnis, Sheilas, Chikni Chamelis and the very recent Badmaash Babli taking the industry by a storm with their sexy moves and enticing maneuvers, item songs have become the most essential ingredient in a film’s success at the Box Office today. Done to grab eyeballs at large, item songs have become more lewd than sensuous.

Taking that cue to his own films, Bollywood’s Baadshah has taken a step forward in curbing the derogatory flavour that an item number today hints at! Shah Rukh Khan, who is gearing up to gyrate to a groovy easy breezy item number in his next flick, Chennai Express, has clearly clarified that he does not want any unnecessary jarring of movements in his song anymore.

Initially, though Southern bombshell Nayantara was touted to be roped in for the item song it was finally offered to Priyamani who is all set to shake her legs with our King Khan. Priyamani had shared screen space with Vivek Oberoi when she turned his love interest for Rakht Charitra. SRK has instead ordered for decorum in the house with regards to the hyped song which was tentatively being choreographed by dancing legend Prabhudeva. Knowing Shah Rukh’s demand,  Prabhudeva’s elder brother Raju Sunderam has been cajoled to choreograph the song.

Raju who had previously filmed Shahid Kapoor in Kaminey has always been taking a back foot when it comes to choreographing for Bollywood. SRK reportedly asked Raju to keep the feel of the song more fun than raunchy. The Badshah’s demands are supposedly complied with since his family image was recently being tarnished by gibberish controversies and unnecessary patrolling  A lot had also been spoken about Shah Rukh’s no-lip-lock-to-candid-smooches trial in his last venture Jab Tak Hai Jaan.

As a result of all this, it seems Shah Rukh has limited his boundaries when it comes to item numbers and hopefully this move will again spark another much needed change in tinsel town today.

According to sources, the entire cast and crew including Deepika Padukone and Shetty’s family members were invited for the party. However, SRK made sure that none of the invitees inform Rohit about it.
