“Yes, I am contemplating with the idea of the sequel to Baazigar, but not right now. I am busy with my other projects. May be three to four years down the line, I will make a sequel to Baazigar,” Jain told IANS.

“However, I will not make the sequel without Shah Rukh. So let’s see how things fall in place. It’s too early to comment on anything at this point of time,” he added.

Baazigar, the 1993 blockbuster, was Shah Rukh’s first blockbuster. Directed by Abbas-Mustan, the film introduced Shah Rukh and Kajol’s pair on the screen as well as introduced Shilpa Shetty in filmdom.

Most of Abbas-Mustan movies have the good guys playing the bad guys. The men in white recently revealed that they make sure to portray their villains in a way that they are not hated by the viewers.

Baazigar

Baazigar was one of Shah Rukh Khan’s breakthrough performances in a negative role. Shah Rukh played the character of Ajay Sharma/Vicky Malhotra, who comes to take his father’s revenge from Madan Chopra (Dalip Tahil). The movie also starred Shilpa Shetty and Kajol and won SRK the Filmfare Award for Best Actor.

Ajnabee

Ajnabee was a suspense thriller with Akshay Kumar and Bipasha Basu playing the negative characters in the movie. Even though it did not make it big at the Box Office, Akshay received accolades for his performance.

Humraaz

Humraaz was a 2002 romantic thriller that saw Akshay Khanna as villain. Akshay played the character of Karan Malhotra, who uses his girlfriend (Ameesha Patel) to infiltrate Raj Singhania’s (Bobby Deol) property. The film helped Akshay win the IIFA Award fore Best Villain.

Aitraaz

For the first time, Abbas-Mustan experimented with an actress being the solo villain in their film. Priyanka Chopra played the role of a manipulative woman who seduces her ex-lover for her own sexual satisfaction and then blames him of sexual abuse. The movie received a good response at the Box Office and Priyanka went on with many awards for her performance. She won the Filmfare Best Villain Award, Star Screen Award Best Villain, Bengal Film Journalists’ Association Award for Best Actress, Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award, Zee Cine Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role and IIFA Best Villain Award.

Race

Race was a multi starrer suspense thriller about relationships and betrayal with a lot of twists. The movie had Akshay Khanna and Katrina Kaif playing the negative characters, who managed to do a decent job.

With Race 2 hitting the screens on 25th January, we would love to see weather John Abraham proves his worth in a negative shade just like all other Abbas-Mustan Villains.

The actor, who made his mark playing grey shades in Darr: A Violent Love Story and Baazigar, said thrillers “seemed (like) an idea” and so did stories that were more involved with reality. Shah Rukh accepted that “our screenplays are a bit hackneyed” and added that, “maybe time for screenplay schools…or courses.”

Last but not the least, the Bollywood actor, who is now playing a superhero in his next film, RA.ONE, accepted that he had a thing for biopics.  “I am also one for biopics…not only of very famous people…but of lesser known people who have interesting stories to share,” wrote Shah Rukh. The actor has already played the Indian emperor Asoka in the 2001 film by that name.

Now that Shah Rukh Khan is taking time off from shooting for his various endorsements to concentrate on RA.One (First Look), wife Gauri Khan is exploring unchartered territory. She has bagged her first brand endorsement with her husband. Very soon, the couple will be seen in a television commercial. The buzz in the industry is that they will endorse a very popular furnishing house. The shoot for the commercial is likely to take place in Mumbai.

Ad filmmaker, Sunhil Sippy, will be directing King Khan and his wife in this commercial. And in this stint, Sunhil seems to have got by with a little help from his friends Makarand Deshpande and Saurabh Shukla actively helping him out wherever possible. Gauri, who has always maintained a very low profile in the industry, is known to have designed costumes for her husband during his Baazigar (1993) days. She turned producer with Main Hoon Na (2004) and Om Shanti Om (2007).

According to the source Gauri (Pictures) is finally letting go of her shell. “Gauri has been approached for commercials earlier but somehow things never worked out. This commercial with Shah Rukh will be her first full-fledged assignment in front of the camera,” added the source. Be it Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai or Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna, star couples have always sizzled on the small screen.
