3) In the year 2011, she also won the 6thApsara Awards, 56thFilmfare Awards and the 12th IIFA Awards (at Toronto), all in the Best Playback Singer category.

4) In 2010, she was awarded the Mirchi Music Awards in the Upcoming Female Singer and Best Female Playback Singer category.

5) She also received the Global Indian Film and Television Honours for the Best Female Playback Singer category in the year 2011.

6) Same year she also won the 18thPrayaagKalakaar Awards for the Best Debut Female Singer category.

Biography: Mamta Sharma, the famous Indian playback singer was born on the 7th of September at Birla Nagar situated in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. She pursued her education from St. Pauls’s School Morar in Gwalior. She gave her voice to various Bhojpuri albums before coming into the glamorous world of Bollywood. She got her first breakthrough when she was noticed by LalitPandi, the music director and was offered to sing a song in ‘Dabbang’. She sang the item song, ‘MunniBadnaamHui’ and overnight the song became a huge success and it helped her bag numerous awards. She also derived much success from her song ‘KevvuKeka’ in the Telegu version of ‘Dabbang’ titled ‘Gabbar Singh’.
