Plot: Prateik Babbar’s life begins to spiral out of control, until he meets a smooth talking hustler who promises to get it back on track. Abhishek Bachchan is a cop who is hell bent on destroying the brutal local and international drug mafia in Goa. Rana Daggubati is a local musician and mute spectator to what is happening around him. An aspiring airhostess, Bipasha Basu, is a child of the hippy generation whose innocence and beauty have been eroded by cynicism and abuse. Aditya Pancholi is the ruthless local businessman who finds himself pushed to the extreme limit with Abhishek Bachchan’s arrival. Then there is a mysterious shadow, with many names and identities, lurking in the background. We hurtle into the by-lanes, beach shacks and raves of Goa as these myriad lives crash into each other.

All about the movie: After Bluffmaster, Rohan Sippy and Abhishek Bachchan come together in Dum Maaro Dum. The film is set to release on 22^nd April, 2011, just 3 weeks after the release of Game, also a Abhishek Bachchan starrer. Along with Abhishek Bachchan, the film stars Bipasha Basu, Prateik Babbar, Aditya Pancholi, Rana Daggubati, Govind Namdeo, Deepika Padukone (Special Appearance). Deepika Padukone in a special appearance will perform a scintillating item number on the song. Abhishek Bachchan plays a no-nonsense cop just like the one played by Big B in Prakash Mehra’s Zanjeer. However Rohan Sippy felt that Abhishek’s character was too serious and hence, to lighten it up, he decided to shoot a song with Abhishek. The song will come on every time Abhishek comes on screen. The song will have the subtle mellow qualities of Abhishek’s character in the film. The film has been extensively shot in Goa.
