Biography: Kunal Kohli made his directorial debut with a television series Trikon. His first film as a writer/director was with Yash Raj Films, Mujhse Dosti Karoge! (2002) starring Hrithik Roshan, Rani Mukerji and Kareena Kapoor. His second venture HumTum (2004) with Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji, was one of the biggest hits of 2004, established him as a director and on him his first Filmfare Award as well.

His next film was Fanaa, starring Aamir Khan and Kajol, was one of the biggest hits of 2006. He also wrote, directed and co-produced Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic in 2008 starring Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji, Rishi Kapoor and Amisha Patel. In 2010, he produced Break Ke Baad  with Imran Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. He is currently working on Teri Meri Kahaani with Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra.
