Son Of Sardaar 2nd Tuesday Box Office Collections
Son of Sardaar made about 4.75 Crores on its 2nd Tuesday at the domestic box office. Ajay Devgn’s SOS has done a great business so far and now stands at a domestic total of 74.31 Crores. Mumbai Circuits getting back to business did help SOS in a way. The movie is still holding up pretty well in mass circuits which is great for the makers.

Considering the fact that there are no major releases this week, Son of Sardaar is expected to hold it strong and make good numbers for another week.

Distributor paid 3.20 cr in CP Berar to release SOS and its business as of now is around 3.60 cr. Going by current trend, film will not able to cross4-4.10 cr nett which means a distributor share of at max 2.90 or 3 cr. Nizam distributor paid 2.70 cr and he is even struggling to get 1 cr share out of it due to low collections of 2-2.50 cr. Except Rajasthan, CI and East Punjab rest 9-10 territories will fail to recover investment. This is the same case what happened with “Ra.One” last year. Both film failed to made money for ultimate guy though makers cum stars walked happy with big advertisement in newspaper. Fans rejoiced and media over after the due coverage done in limited payment. But distributor left bleeding and paying for the inflated ego of the stars. 22 cr of marketing and the real budget is said to be even higher than that (one medianet insert in a city costs 15 lakhs..SOS had 7 cities and innumerable inserts plus full page ads!!!!). Actual budget in excess of 90 cr which is said to be 87, where are the returns..maximum share of 7 cr from overseas and 50 from domestic will put film at least 30 cr in minus. Then there are more to it which is not appropriate to discuss here.
