Shah Ruk Khan’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan Adds One More Record At Overseas Box Office
Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has proved it time and again, that when it comes to making records in the Overseas Market, it’s one and only King Khan. It is no new, that SRK’s recent release Jab Tak Hai Jaan is a “Blockbuster” at the Overseas Box Office, Bollywood’s 3rd and Shah Rukh Khan’s 2nd Biggest Overseas Box Office Hit. However, there’s something more to add in its credits.
Adding another USD 0.45 MILLION (Rs 2.50 crores) in its kitty, Jab Tak Hain Jaan has emerged as the First Film To Cross $ 4 Million Mark in UAE+GCC at the Overseas Box Office. The movie after 7 weeks (till Tuesday) has a total of USD 13.54 million which amounts to 74.50 Crores at the Overseas Box Office. Humongous achievement one must say!

hello mr. rahul i just want to say that in overseas top 10 list of bollywood movies there are 6 movies of srk which has become blockbuster recently so you don’t say that king khan era is over it is being started now and just watch he doen’s remake any soth film like ur fatty sallu lallu and remember he delivers the greatest and very costly movie RA.one with huge graphicsthat salman can never add to his movies because he has no guts to do it if he has then he could release his films against some good movies then see wht happens to salman records but infront of srk many movies go down even in newzeland skyfall doesn.t stay infront of jthj ok so just check all the history and records and recentl prformance then comment like this u all srk haters. because only sharukh can do movies like My name is khan, chakh de india, kabhi khushi kabhi gam, rab ne bana di jodi, om shanti om, don, don2 Ra.one and these are some of the movies which was released recently and in comparison to salman salman did only wanted, dabang,ready bodygaurd,dabang2 all remakes of south indian in which wanted title was copied from hollywood movie wanted so jst give respect to srk
You like an actor based on his ability to act, and not on his humanitarian efforts. SRK does contribute towards his country. He has done countless humanitarian acts, yet does go about publicizing it. As for Salman, he boasts too much of what he does. SRK does support talent , when he see’s the opportunity of a good one. I don’t think the way he looks changes anything, well as if Salman looks like a charming youngster. And his wife doesn’t want him – how do you even know. And you have to agree that even you are selfish with the money you earn from your own hard work. I bet you wouldn’t go around throwing money in the air, and it isn’t wrong for wanting the credit you deserve. And, dude, living in the US doesn’t make you the representative of the majority population of the US, and plus you’re Indian, most of SRK’s fans are white people, OK. I’m not from the US, I’m from Fiji, my parents don’t like SRK, my mom loves Salman, and my dad adores Amitabh, but hey, majority of the people I meet and know, love SRK. Some of my friends even think SRK is hot, don’t say that we are blind and we must be old, blah, blah, because my friends are all 18 year old’s, heck, even those in their 40′s and 50′s love SRK. So before trying to represent a population or before trying to make claims which are absurd, get your facts right, sis. Oh, and one more thing, Amitabh Bachchan and SRK are the two most popular actors in overseas.

who cares for overseas??? its a calculated collection of many countries, and just a ‘dilaasa’ for poor SRK fans..!! SRK lost almost all his charm in his own home i.e. india..!! An Indian film should be loved by indian audience 1st, as every country make films 1st for it’s people and then for other country’s people, and SRK’s own countrymen started to hate him day by day.. and this a big shame.. this very indian audience loved him a lot just 4 years back.. actually these are the people (indian audience) who made The Superstar Shahrukh Khan as he is, they loved him blindly specially from 2003 to 2008, but suddenly they stopped loving him..!! And now only media started bring overseas business in discussion.. but seriously.. if a bollywood film is flop in india.. that means it is a FLOP film like Dil Se was a flop in india and hit in overseas.. but every one says Dil Se is a flop film, same as Salam-E-Ishq, it was a flop in india and Super Hit in overseas, but people accept is as a FLOP film. Hello Mr. Ravi, I completely agree with you about the logistics you stated. Writing such kind of an article is a total waste without even having any proper back ups. Jab Tak hai Jaan just did only 3 million dollars more than Ek Tha Tiger where JTHJ released in many more countries, humongous amount of screens and they had more rental to pay. If Ek Tha Tiger released in as many screens as JTHJ then it would have easily made 17-18 million dollars or touched 20 million for sure. JTHJ will also face many losses as you mentioned due to the rental cost. Right now people will have to accept that the SRK era is over and he cannot be given the title King Khan. Plus his movies suck! It’s all because of the hype he is receiving from the media. It’s only Salman Khan who is ruling the box office with lots big hits and much more popularity than SRK. Note that Salman’s Hum Apke Hain Kaun was bigger than all of the other SRK movies released those days. SRK’s highest JTHJ released on a holiday and made only 120 crores in the Indian box office which is lesser than Salman’s Ready releasing on a non-holiday. Even a Hrithik Roshan film did bigger than JTHJ and they call him King?? Pathetic. A big disgrace!! For your kind information people JTHJ is just a hit worldwide not a historic blockbuster like Salman Khan movies.

This whole deal of oversea box office collections is farce. When overseas collection is reported it is gross and not nett collections. SRK movies may have collected more, but then it has been released in many more countries, more screens and for more duration. So if you deduct the rentals for more screens, rentals for longer duration runs and other costs in releasing in more countries and more screens for longer duration the nett may be a loss to the distributors. I have been in this business and I know this for a fact. So guys don’t get too excited about the overseas number. The author of this article has no idea on the nitty grittier of the business.
agar srk ka movie different country main release karta hai to other actor ka kyo nehi karta hai?? srk ka movie ka demand whole world main rahta hai..ns shirf kuch selected country..aisa aisa country main srk ka movie release karta hai jaha other actor ka sapna main bhi release nehi hota..srk is one and only king of worldwide.
