Jab Tak Hai Jaan v/s Son of Sardaar, Is it Too Early to Predict the Box Office Winner?

While the anticipations are at their zeniths, it is pretty much a tough side to choose. It’s just 3 days for the epic battle between Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Son of Sardaar and perhaps a bit too early to predict any outcome. Whether it is wise or not to release two Bollywood Biggies on the same will be proven in a week from now. While the makers claim that Diwali has enough footfall to give way for two hits we wonder if it is really so.

Shah Rukh Khan from Jab Tak Hai Jaan Movie Still & Ajay Devgn from Son Of Sardaar Movie Still

There has been a lot of talks over the screen space allotted to each film. So much so that Ajay Devgn Ffilms had to file a case against YRF. Now whatsoever the verdict may be, the two movies are going to lock horns this Diwali and it is going to be a gallant show.

While there are many rumors about the allotted screen space, let me make it very clear that it is just impossible to come up with an exact screen count before Sunday. A business of any cinema is not based on rumors and so is the case with these 2 biggies. If you are really keen on knowing the exact details about the screen space, hold on till Sunday!

Another thing which might need clarification here is the fact that Diwali will not decide who has an upper hand at the box office. The day of Diwali being a National Holiday might seem to you as the deciding factor. However, the fact remains that most people would prefer staying indoors and spending time in festivities rather than catching a movie. The deciding days will be the couple of days after Diwali and the 1st Saturday and Sunday of the Bollywood Biggies.

Being honest, both Son of Sardaar and Jab Tak Hai Jaan have a fair chance of emerging hits together at the domestic box office. Be it the star cast, publicity or content none of the movies can be termed as anything less than the other. The fact remains that both the movies might burn some holes into each others box office collections but both have the potential of emerging as Hits. Whether you are a fan of Ajay Devgn or Shah Rukh Khan its time to rejoice. Let the fireworks start.
