Hrithik Roshan’s Agneepath Breaks Opening Day Record Of Salman Khan’s Bodyguard

Karan Johar’s Agneepath, a remake of the 1990 Amitabh Bachchan-starrer, has broken all opening day records at the Indian box-office. The film, which stars Hrithik Roshan, Sanjay Dutt, Priyanka Chopra and Rishi Kapoor, made Rs. 25 crore approx. (all-India net collection) on its first day at the box-office, January 26, 2012.
This is an all-time record. As predicted by Koimoi.com, the film surpassed the opening day collections of the Salman Khan-starrer, Bodyguard, which had netted Rs. 21 crore on its day of release (August 31, 2011).
As figures are still flowing in, it remains to be seen if Agneepath will break the record for the highest collections in a day, held by Shah Rukh Khan’s Ra.One (Rs. 25.10 crore; for all three versions). In fact, if you consider only the collections of the Hindi version of Ra.One, the record for the highest collections in a day has already been broken by Agneepath.
This is Hrithik Roshan’s biggest initial so far. With Agneepath, Hrithik also enters the Rs. 100 crore club because with such collections on the first day itself, it is a foregone conclusion that the film will go on to make loads of money in the days to come.
Agneepath may well be the fastest Rs. 100 crore grosser. Right now, this record is held by Bodyguard, which crossed the Rs. 100 crore barrier in 8 days only.

SALMAN KHAN is a one man Army a true authentic superstar…. Though Agneepath broke first day record of Bodyguard hardly matters salman khan’s legacy… Hrithik needs support of 5 actors to break salman khan record so embarrasing for him… Well word of mouth of Agneepath is hit coz sanju baba and Rishi…
But salman khan’s movies scores records by his single performance he does not rely on other actors…
