Subhash Ghai ropes in Ismail Darbar-Salim-Suleiman in his next venture

Filmmaker Subhash Ghai is all set to announce his next directorial venture on 24^thOctober, which marks the 34th anniversary of his production banner, Mukta Arts. He has roped in ace music director Ismail Darbar and Salim-Suleiman to compose the music for the film along with Irshad Kamil as the lyricist.

Speaking about his association with Ismail Darbar, who hasn’t signed a film in the last four years, Ghai says, “The film industry might forget a talent if they don’t work for a while, but all it takes is one hit song. I want soulful music, and I feel Ismail can create that. I’ve also signed Salim-Sulaiman to bring in some contemporary style.” Ismail Darbar who has composed the award winning soundtracks for Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Devdas, will also be composing music after a long hiatus.

The yet-to-be-titled film is a romantic drama with a musical delight. Says Subhash Ghai, “It is the journey of a young woman from the mountains to a city, so the music must reflect the various phases in her life.” Subhash Ghai’s last directorial venture was the Salman – Katrina starrer “Yuvraaj” (2008).
