Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif Together In Ek Tha Tiger!

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are back together! Well, on-screen of course. The duo will be seen together in Yash Raj Films’ next production, Ek Tha Tiger. The romantic-thriller will be directed by Kabir Khan and produced by Aditya Chopra. The last time Salman shared screen space with Katrina was in the song Wallah Re Wallah in Tees Maar Khan.

A visibly delighted Yash Chopra said, “Everyone knows my association with Salim saab, having worked together on Deewaar, Trishul and Kaala Patthar. It is a very happy moment for me and YRF to have his son Salman with us for the first time. Over the years, Salman has become a very matured and talented actor and both he and the beautiful Katrina have a tremendous connect with their audiences.”

This is Salman’s first film with the YRF banner. He said, “In the past Adi and I have met a few times on various projects but somehow, when Kabir and he came to me with this particular story, we all just knew that this was the one. Above all this, I’m honoured to be working with Yashji, who has worked so closely with my Dad in the past.” It was rumoured that Salman was offered a role in Chak De! India but he turned it down because YRF refused to pay the price he demanded. The role later went to Yash Raj’s blue-eyed boy, Shah Rukh Khan.

Shah Rukh’s last film with the YRF banner was the hit Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi in 2008. They then roped in Aamir Khan for Dhoom 3 and Salman for ‘Ek Tha Tiger’. All Khans in one basket?

I fully agree with the comments and observations of Farah regarding Salman-Katrina affairs. We find that many Bollywood media provide little coverage to Katrina and Salman, and also the adequate coverage they rightly deserve. They presumably represent the Anti SK lobby. These magazines are obsessed with the FLOP and SUPER FLOP sons and daughters of yesterdays’ stars. These ‘super flops’ should be ashamed to squander money of financiers and ought to quit film industry, and make room for others.
Hard working ‘Kalakars’ like Katrina, Salman etc ensure good return on investments by the financiers. They should be provided with more coverage and decent, authentic news reporting.
There is a saying in Hindustani’ Hundred donkeys do not make a HORSE’.
    Good luck to Kat-Sallu

I am an ardent fan and admirer of Yash Chopra. He knows and can read Bollywood like the palm of his hand. Having seen the worst days of unfortunate ‘Batwara’, film making in Pancholi studio of Lahore and post partition Bollywood, Yash Chopra knows that modesty, good manners and polite words can win any heart. I like the way he rightfully praised Papa Salim Khan and almost made Salman another son. I hope the old good simple happy days will be back. Waheeda Rehman, Talat Mehmood, Madan Mohan, Nanda, Sahir Ludhianvi et all would go to picnic, enjoy boat rides and lunch, and laugh aloud.
