No ‘Kaam’ Anymore For Arjun Rampal & Chitrangada Singh
Last month there was a surprise in store when Kaam- The Unofficial Story had emerged as the pick for the Arjun Rampal-Chitrangada Singh starrer. However due to latest developments, it is back to the drawing board for director Sudhir Mishra and his team as a new title is being sought.
Says a source, “Since the film is meant to be a hard hitting affair which is touted to be the first ever for Hindi cinema, Sudhir now agrees that a title with much better weight would end up making a better impact.”
The only trouble is that Sudhir is out of his wits to go through the exercise all over again. He started the film with a working title as Inkaar. Later he created further ground with as many as six options, namely Dream Factory, Power Play, Agency, Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum, The Boss and of course Inkaar. Ironically none of these was finalised and though there were stray talks of Power Play being the preferred one, it had seemed that ‘Kaam- The Unofficial Story’ was final. That is not happening either and now Sudhir has been advised by his well wishers to begin a rigorous search for a title which suits the film better.
Admits Mishra, “I had earlier thought that making this film was the toughest part since the subject is so sensitive. Now that I have managed to survive that, it is a title which is giving me most pain. Hopefully we would manage to sort it out in quick time.”
Hopefully that happens soon as the film is slated to release on 24 August.
