Madhuri Dixit And Juhi Chawla team up for Gulab Gang
Two actresses who have scorched the silver screen during the late ‘80s and ‘90s, two graceful dancers who have danced their ways through to super stardom, and two power packed performers who have bedazzled everyone with their acting prowess: Madhuri and Juhi are back together on screen for the first time.
Anubhav Sinha, the director and first time producer had already roped in Madhuri Dixit for his maiden production and is mighty excited about getting Juhi Chawla on board too. The two yesteryear stars who have never shared screen space before and were always putted against one another is expected to pack in a riveting performance of sorts with a sparkling chemistry when they appear on screen together. The film, according to Anubhav required two strong female leads to play the pivotal characters in his film and he zeroes in on Madhuri and Juhi since they have set bench marks for themselves with their brilliant screen outings.
Madhuri who seems to shine in all the glitterati post her sabbatical is all smiles about her third innings in the industry. Juhi on the other hand has been receiving huge acclaim for her ‘Pammi’ in Son of Sardaar and the two are expected to pack in quite a punch.
Anubhav who is very overwhelmed with the script says his script demanded two iconic actresses to play the two central women characters at loggerheads with each other. And by getting both Juhi and Madhuri on board, he has signed a cracker of a deal as the film is well going down the lanes of history.
Both the actresses are relatively very anxious and excited to share screen space and what they offer us is something that we all wait to watch. Gulab Gang is mainly based on the activities of Gulabi Gang, lead by Sampat Pal, the Bigg Boss 6 contestant, who preaches for women empowerment in UP’s Bundelkhand regions. Known to be a woman of stature and strength in the area, it would be nice to see both Madhuri and Juhi stepping in to the shoes of women activists!
