Karan Johar Becomes Shah Rukh Khan’s Designer for Chennai Express

Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan have always been the best of friends. Their association stems back to the DDLJ days when Karan had played a role of Shah Rukh’s friend in the movie. Their friendship runs so deep that, Karan once declared that he won’t make a film which doesn’t have Shah Rukh Khan in it. Unknown to many, Karan has also been the stylist behind Shah Rukh’s look in many of blockbuster hits. Now for Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express, KJo is onboard to style SRK and choose his costumes.
Designing isn’t a new field for the stylish director as he has successfully established his own clothing brand. Karan has been known for being a keen fashion enthusiast and SRK has always backed this view. According to sources close to both, Shah Rukh feels that Karan’s ability to comprehend the character makes him a reliable stylist. Karan likes designing SRK especially for a modern slick look and Chennai Express gives him an opportunity to do exactly that. King Khan is expected to wear a lot of casual jackets for this movie.
