Kangna Ranaut Learns From Rekha, Shabana Azmi For Shootout At Wadala

Kangana Ranaut at the launch of Shootout At Wadala.
Kangna Ranaut played an actress who was the love interest of a gangster in Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, but she’s going for something more grounded in Shootout At Wadala. “I am playing a simple Maharastrian girl in the film and my look is based on the ‘70s and ‘80s and will not be glamorous in this film. My look is based more on the lines of actresses of that era like Smita Patil, Rekha and Shabana Azmi. I have watched their films and have been inspired by them. The role does not lend itself to high-fashion or going over the top,” says the actress.
Well, you have to give it to Kangna for playing a gangster’s moll numerous times, even with her debut Gangster! But the actress isn’t worried about it, “I have never planned playing such roles deliberately, it’s a mere coincidence and I think the don’s like me. The directors approach me for such roles and I like them.I really wanted to be a part of it. It’s a huge franchise and a fabulous role. So it doesn’t matter how many times in the past I played a gangster’s girlfriend.”
