Dev Anand Passes Away.
Legendary Bollywood actor and film maker Dev Anand passed away on the night of Saturday, December 3, 2011, in London. Anand, 88, who was in London for a medical check up, died of cardiac arrest.
Dev Anand started his movie career with Hum Ek Hain (1946) and delivered hits like Paying Guest, Jewel Thief, CID, Johny Mera Naam, Hare Rama Hare Krishna and Des Pardes. The last film of the Padma Bhushan and Dada Saheb Phalke award recipient was Chargesheet.
Dev Anand, whose Twitter.com bio reads ”Still Romancing with life…”, was working on a musical romantic film that he planned to shoot in the US.
