Alia Bhatt bags another K’Jo Film
Yesh! Fresh on the block is that this newbie entrant of B-Wud, and daughter of a star director Mahesh Bhatt, Alia Bhatt has managed to super-impress Karan Johar. K’Jo is going all gaga over Alia. She is to debut with Karan’s young and zippy Student Of The Year along with debutants Varun Dhawan, son of David Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra, model-turned-assistant director-turned-actor.
The movie Alia is reported to have bagged is 2 States which is an adaptation from the book titled by the same name and written by Chetan Bhagat. The plot revolves around a Punjabi Munda falling weak in knees for a Tamil IITian girl and their urge to get married, drawn on the lines that in Indian Society it is not only marriage of two people but also marriage of two families.
There were various names flying around as being considered for the lead roles, but Ishaqzaade star Arjun Kapoor was zeroed on. Arjun is to play the Punjabi munda. Arjun-Alia pairing hints at being interesting and enthralling.The movie is co-produced by Sajid Nadiawala and Karan Johar. Direction department is being handled by Abhishek Verman, who had also taken over the Creative Director’s chair for SOTY.
Official confirmations are yet to come in as K’Jo is waiting for SOTY to hit the theatres.
Student Of The Year is releasing on 19th October, but Alia seems to have galvanized all attention towards her. She is the talk of the town and will surely leave all mesmerized by her performance in SOTY.
