The Gen-Y star and heartthrob of millions is all geared up to play the role of a cop in his upcoming venture. Teaming up with Neeraj Pandey, whose last flick was an intense and critically acclaimed movie A Wednesday back in 2008, now Shahid Kapoor is all set to don the “khakhi” uniform.

On screen we have seen Salman Khan in Dabbangg, Ajay Devgan in Singham, John Abraham in Force and will soon see Aamir Khan in Talaash, carrying with ease and style their “Khakee wardis”. Now, it is time to see someone from the GEN-Y bandwagon to carry forward the legacy of playing the role of a cop.

None from the new generation stars be it Ranbir Kapoor, Imran Khan, Ranveer Singh, have previously donned the uniforms or played cop in any of their flicks, Shahid Kapoor takes a step forward. Neeraj Pandey needs no introduction when it comes to filming films based on cop genres. The expectancy levels are raised a notch higher with this one.

Sources confirm the piece of news and also that Shahid Kapoor is bracing up and is habituating himself with the character so that he delivers the best he has for the role. All are contemplating anxiously how would Shahid Kapoor look in his new avatar.
